Curious what the best options are for shipping shoes. I did a little reading through the thread and it looks like with the USPS shoebox (priority) i'd just weigh out how much they are and the calculator should be able to give a good price. Which option do I select as the method of shipping? Is it just considered a package? and how would the dimension be entered? I believe i read somewhere that your round up to the next whole number for each of the dimensions.

I just do "Priority Mail large package". Dimensions are printed on the box. 7-1/2" x 5-1/8" x 14-3/8".

Usually between 2-3 pounds (which is the granularity of the ebay multi-ship postage system).

Price based on distance. My range from just under $7 for east coast to just under $14 for the west coast. I should add that smaller sizes can somethings fit in a flat rate box (or padded bag) and be cheaper, but I've only sold one pair that fit in a med. flat rate. and they were diagonal to diagonal to make them fit.

I think you'd be asking for trouble ifshipping shoes to a customer in a bag.

I just used standard package for the shoe boxes and I've never had on returned. Prices range from $6 to $15 depending on weight of the shoes/boots.

How much does resoling on a pair of Alden's hurt them? Would a pair of shells, with a fairly recent, and what appears to be quality have any meat on the bone still at roughly $140?

I don't know about alden, but AE says you can resole 3-4x before the shoe has to be retired. Using topies extends the life although 4 resoles is like 10-12 heels which is quite substantial!

Use heel taps, TOPYs and shoe trees and the shoes will probably outlast you.

In my defense, it was late last night... However, the writing rules are changing (according to Purdue Owl of course). Apparently, it is now perfectly acceptable to end your sentences with prepositions!!! So you're alright for doing so.

Had to jump in here just to make sure you are not thinking so is a preposition. Generally an adverb or conjunction. In this case it is the former.
