Buying and Selling on eBay: Tips, Tricks, Problems & Questions - Page 770

Good advise from Spoo. Buyer is falsely claiming non-delivery when USPS is confirming delivery with the tracking confirmation number.

Sometimes think about creating a blog with eBay typo items, since I see them all the time...but since I'm lazy, here are a few from today [caveat emptor: no idea who these sellers are / legitimacy of items / accuracy of condition / etc].

Ferragamo recent sailboat / lighthouse tie, $38.

Ferragamo cotton hankie, $18

Ferragamo wimmin's shoes, $46

Ferragamo wimmin's leather & lizard shoes, $33

Hermes native American headdress tie, stated NWOT, bid $60

Do it tomorrow (or now), let me know how it goes.

Will do. I will post an update today. I've already replied to the feedback with the tracking number.

If I'm only printing one shipping label, ebay includes the instructions on half the page, wasting half a page of paper/sticky back.  Is there a way to have it not print this?  Also, if I go to reprint labels, I can only do one at a time and have the same problem.  I've been just folding the paper in half and/or cutting in half but this isn't ideal...  Thanks!

Maybe you guys are lucky enough to never have to worry about only shipping one item at a time!  :)

Hmmm...where are you printing from on eBay? Mine only prints half a page and I've never changed any settings. I'll check my settings tonight when I print labels, assuming at least one person pays today.

No luck. Essentially the tracking info didn't update after it left the sorting facility, so it shows the status as Delivered, but has the zip code of the sorting facility - which is about 20 miles from the final destination.

eBay has basically told me that there's no way to get the feedback removed, unless the tracking information updates. I doubt the post office is going to be able to sort it out. Issuing a full refund will not remove it either, oddly enough. The buyer will not respond to my messages, and has not opened a case. The only other option would be to request that the buyer remove the feedback himself, after I issue a refund. I asked eBay if the buyer agrees to this via eBay messages, and I issue a refund, what happens if the buyer doesn't hold up his end of the deal by removing the feedback? Will eBay remove it then? You guessed it - nope. That's basically irrelevant at this point, given that the buyer won't respond to me.

Easy fix....

Top of your label printing page.....click printer and label receipt preferences at top right corner as seen below.

Then when this window opens, make sure the check box is not checked. Once you do it once, it should remember for future labels.

Never a good idea. How do you find the men's stuff that is either misracked by employees or hidden by customers waiting for half price days without checking the women's sections? The only RLPL suit I ever found was hanging in the women's section.

They are basically belligerent, claiming that I committed fraud, etc. They leave negative feedback. I call eBay and get a bunch of bullshit about how they can't remove the feedback unless the buyer opens a case and it's escalated to eBay (and even then, the feedback might be removed). For shits and giggles I ask them if I issue the buyer a full refund right now, will they remove it. Nope. I guess eBay doesn't find it a bit odd that the buyer didn't open a case (obviously because they got the tie). According to the eBay rep, eBay is responsible for issuing the refund in a case like this (item was shipped to the address in the system, but was "lost").

I guess the new eBay policy is that a buyer can leave you negative feedback for absolutely no reason and eBay is perfectly fine with it.

Yeah, sellers are constantly getting screwed in their current model. At least level the playing filed by allowing sellers to leave feedback.

Umm, sellers can leave feedback?

The only 2 RLPL SCs that I've found were in the women's section. Must be something about the label.
