Considering how much I've spent at Tori Burch for my wife, I'd be pretty thrilled finding it in a Goodwill.

yea no doubt, I agree with you SeaJen.  I am looking at purchasing her some wedges in white from TB for the summer.  And would be extremely thrilled to thrift them instead.

What would you guys recommend doing about this one:

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Hello, I received the Jacket today. Thank you for the quick service, its a very nice jacket. It does not fit like a 46 as you state in your listing, It is an altered 48 and fits like one. This jacket very large and I would like to return it to you for a redund. How would you like to handle the return?
Thank you,
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

As you can see, it was tagged as 48R but I said it fits more like a 46R since p2p was 24.25" (48.5" chest), which would be very tight for a 48.

Can I use the standard US Priority mail Shoe Box to ship something express internationally?  Just had an offer from Japan, and realized I do not have any express boxes.

edit nm: will do USPS Priority Mail International, works that way!

He's probably right, shoulders measure like a 48 but everything else is like a 46. However, that means hes basically saying your listing is perfectly accurate as you said it's tagged 48 but provided all the measurements.

Up to you. Morally you win. Ebay usually sides with the buyer if he opens a NAD case no matter what. It might hinge on your statement that it measures like a 46, because the shoulders dont.

If it were me, I'd refuse the return, because I hate BS like this. He should have checked before buying. It all depends on if you want to invest the time fighting with ebay on it.

Thanks for the help. I'll probably just take the return. I'm a newer seller so a negative would hurt my percentage quite a bit.

Have a few female ex-beauty school heads - bought because they amuse me sitting on my fireplace mantle.

Reminds me of an experience at GW:  was checking out a tennis racquet that looked like carbon fiber but was just painted to resemble it...a dude asked me if i was gonna buy it, said no - here you go, and now you can tell everyone that some guy gave you head at Goodwill.  he didn't get it and seemed about to beat my ass - i had to explain it was a joke - the brand of racquet was Head.

That's fucked up. Funny but fucked up.

I was shopping at a GW last Sunday and they had just put out about 10 new jackets. I was flipping open the first when this tall thin guy sidled up next to me, placed his hands within an inch of mine on the rack and smiled seductively at me... I left and went to look at ties. I realized at that point I was not a true thrifter, I am trying to imagine what someone hardcore would have done in this case...

Question on sizing of shoes

I've a pair of Bally's ankle zips thats tagged 13 D. Made in Italy

When I measured the INNER sole it came to 12.25"

The OUTER sole came to 12.75"

Does this sound weird? What should I tell my buyers what the size is?

I had a guy walk past me and call me honey as he walked by, I just glared at him. Spoo would have probably kicked the guy's cart.

I then told him that half the stuff in menswear is my size and I'm really picky. He liked that answer better.

This, and...:

Also witnessed a guy asking about 5 different guys what their size was because he had found an awesome Geoffrey Beene shirt. I assume he knew Mr. Beene personally because he kept calling it a Geoff Beene.

Was looking at scarves a few weeks ago and sidled over to the wimmin's area.  One gal asked me if I was looking for men's scarves - I said yes, expecting to next tell her that yep I was aware I was in the wimmin's section, but instead she handed me one and said "this is sort of a guy's scarf."  It was a NWT Arc'teryx wool scarf, for which I kindly thanked her.

...I'd have told him I'd give him a reach-around if he found me some Tom Ford.

Well, hot damn, not only did I have my first international sale today, but had my first 3 international sales...all to the same buyer in Japan.  Apparently there is a man in Japan who has an inkling for Breather Wright split toe oxfords in 8.5 C.  I almost didn't buy them since they seemed meh, but 50% off day on shoes so I pulled the trigger.  I paid $4+$4+6$ (NWOT on the last one).  He paid $27, $25, $75 (NWOT).  So, assuming USPS Priority doesn't drop the ball while flying over the pond, I'll make a quick $90 after fees.  Crossing my fingers...
