Hey guys, I accidentally accepted an offer, and didn't realize he wanted free shipping. How exactly do I cancel the transaction- Just relist and delete out of my sold items section? Thanks

So, I finally started using Garage Sale. Capnwes was right, there's a bit of a learning curve... This seems like it should streamline my process quite a bit once I get it down.

Here's my third listing using the software. If you can, take a look at tell me whether things seem normal with it. Thanks!

I just got the email and came in here to vent about the fact that a DSR of a 3 now will count as a defect apparently if I read this right.  If they're going to say that a 3 is a defect, they need to change the effing labeling so people realize it's really 5-stars-or-nothing.

Just when you think eBay can't get much worse, they find new, creative ways to be shitty...

edit:  to be clear, and for convenience, here is what ebay considers a defect:
  • 1, 2 or 3-star rating for item as described

  • 1-star rating for shipping time

  • Negative or neutral feedback

  • Return initiated because the item was not as described

  • An eBay Money Back Guarantee or PayPal Purchase Protection case opened for an item not received or an item not as described

  • Seller-cancelled transaction

^ Bolding mine.

Ebay is so full of shit. There is no way that anyone selling items which are not brand new in original packaging can maintain 98% on this new plan.

Even when a seller provides good pics and accurate measurements, returns for fit described by a buyer as SNAD will be over 2%.

Quick newb-question for you guys. I've been researching for a few days, but haven't found a definitive-ish answer. I'm sure this question has been asked and answered in the past, but I'm looking for a new-ish camera.

Which DSLR camera do you guys recommend for under $600?

I'll be using it for eBay photos, as well as family events etc. Not looking for anything professional, entry-level works..especially because I've never used a DSLR before.

I'm leaving for the camera store in a few minutes.....figured I'd ask you guys before I have someone sell me something that I don't need.

Thanks, fellas.

I chose the Sony RX 100, which is a great point and shoot but not DSLR, because I wanted a camera which I could also easily carry in a pocket when I travel. The RX 100 is a great camera. My constraint with it is my abilities, not the capabilities of the camera.

I really like the layout, my only recommendation is the black of the suit is hard to see on the dark background maybe have both dark and light backdrops. I know you didn't ask for critique on your pictures but that was the only point I found. Now if you would like to spill which template you used...

I think the template is called 'Spotlight'. It's one of the "clean" ones... I tend to go for simpler designs.

Thanks for the feedback on the image. I'm still fine-tuning my photo setup. For one thing, I need better lighting, but I'm getting there. I do need to use something other than my desktop as a backdrop for pictures of darker items. I'll see what I can find cheap. :)

Those have been my experiences...

Thanks. Call it growing pains... I forgot to edit that part of the listing. It is DeSoto.

Thanks for that tip. Still getting a hang of it.

Yeah, when I first started using GarageSale, that was one of the big ones I'd forget to change.

Also, I'd duplicate a listing for shoes or something and then fill it out for a tie and forget to change shipping weight. I'd wonder why I wasn't getting bids and then notice that the shipping was calculating for 4 lbs or whatever. I have like 10 templates set up now for like shirt, shoes, suit, coat, etc. and then separate ones for BIN items. A lot fewer mistakes since I started doing that.
