Templates with image backgrounds, tables that contain details etc, generally look like junk (illegible) on mobile. I know the stuff looks great on a real computer, but when I'm out comparison shopping on something I intend to buy for myself, and use something like the RedLaser app (barcode scanner) to see what the same thing sells for elsewhere...it's pointless to look at the eBay listings that get constrained down to screen size due to background images / tables / etc.

So, that said, are garagesale listings "scaleable" to mobile - i.e.: it strips out all the constraints and just gives me the info & images?

Yes, agreed, care should be taken to make your listings mobile friendly. I almost shop exclusively from my phone.

as for Garage Sale scaleability....just check Spoo's listings and see how they look.

^FWIW, I use an ironing board for measuring shirts and pants. Cheap, effective, and designed to be used standing up, so my back doesn't get sore. Blazers I measure hanging, on a stand. A while back I bought a hanging mannequin. The mannequin didn't work out so well for displaying clothes, but the stand has been well worth the cost. I just hang up the blazer and measure away.

You can get the stands for around $40 on eBay.
How do you measure pit to pit on a hanging jacket.....

Ha, Spoo posted a snapshot of his one day and I asked him for the template... never heard back.

What did you ask me for? What did I post a snapshot of? Sorry if I missed something.

You had posted a shot of your binder that you put all your listings in and described the sheets you used, I asked you for a template of the sheets. I think I had all of 5 posts under my belt, so it was no big deal. Anyways, the concept was clearly described, and I had my own sheets shortly thereafter, which I've been slowly improving on.

I'm liking the idea of a complete, one fluid motion of pictures, measurements and listing... the real big boys must be doing something like this, and it's too good to share. I know if I perfected it, unless I was selling the method itself with some proprietary software, I might be hesitant to share my hard earned knowledge too.

Great googly moogly! Don't forget a catchy one word descriptor to grab buyers' attention. Some possibilities:

ATROCIOUS
HEINOUS
EYE-******

I have an ebay listing right now that is auction style and buy it now. It has a bid and I just got a message from a buyer saying he'd buy it now if I dropped the BIN price $10. I'd be totally willing to do this, but since there's a bid, I can't change it. If I offer to refund him the $10 instantly is that legal or could that potentially get eBay pissed off at me?

Don't do it. I'm pretty sure would get you in some hot water with Ebay.
