I've been scribbling in journals and on pads for many a year have yet to encounter that "one day". The physical acts of writing and typing are not fungible.

Au contraire, if you've ever found a piece of paper sitting in a month-old puddle you would know that they arevery fungible indeed.

What about something like This?

I use a similar style cover to go over my Moleskin books. I've found individual leather journals to be a tremendous pain in the ass. Buying new paper and fitting it in, or refills that only fit the specific cover, are both an annoyance.
