J.Crew Fall/Winter 2012 - Page 67

I'd recommend against it. I wear a 36S Ludlow and XS everything else. The XS corduroy sportcoat was too tight around the waist. You won't be anle to comfortably layer a sweater underneath. FYI I'm 5'9"-5'10" 140-145 lbs (lean).

I tried on a Medium ludlow chino blazer this past weekend. I was surprised that it fit so tight. My usual J. Crew size is Medium, and 42R is suit jackets. The Large must be more like a 42.

Thanks. I think this was kind of my experience with a jacket from a few seasons ago. I'm 38R in ludlow and it was a ludlow fit jacket, but the medium was too big and the small was a bit too tight in the shoulders and short in the sleeves. Medium is probably like a 40. I guess I'll wait until I can get one on a free shipping deal then at most I'm just eating the cost to ship it back if it doesn't work.

I kopped a bunch of those J.Crew made in vermont wool socks and I must say they are pretty nice.

what is the general consensus on suiting?

Could use a charcoal suit as I have a few weddings this up coming season and probably a few interviews. None in the works as of yet, do have a navy suit also.

I have a 25 dollar gift card that runs out the 15th. Not the end of the world if I dont use it in the gran scheme of things seeing that its 700 or so for a suit and pants.

I am going to the ludlow store in boston on my lunch regardless to check it out, because i have a training class in the building for work.

Are you a true 36" chest? I'm in between sizes, about 37" chest and similiar weight and height. They told me to get XS and I'm hesistant it might be too tight. My only experience with their shirt is an XS Flannel and that's pretty tight already now.

I don't know my true chest size, but if XS is too tight, then the XS Ludlow will definitely be too tight for you. I wear XS slim shirts, FYI.

I have this in the single vent. It is great! If fit almost perfectly off the rack. I ordered the pants a little long so I could get them altered to the exact length I wanted. I took up the jacket sleeves a little out of personal preference, just because I like to show some cuff. But other than that--perfect.

Fit is spot on, it's trim and slim fitting, and material and construction is high-quality.

went worsted instead but the fit was spot on...like you the pants will need to be shortened but thats it.
