Yeah, I've been over there. I was (finally) doing some returns last night and just popped in to the back of the store to see what they had. I'm curious about the Grove store's Clearance stuff, but getting over there is a pain for me.

Any Northern VA peeps around here? I'm wondering which J Crew store would have a better selection - Reston Town Center or Tyson's Galleria? Gonna be down that way for work next week. Thanks!

Can anybody shed light on the hype surrounding the Thomas Mason shirts?

I've seen them go for ~$50 after the 40% off at my local J. Crew. Is it worth it? The collars seem really small.

The TM fabric is awesome. Produced in Italy. Centuries old tradition.
The collar works well with slim ties.

I just scored a few at 5th Ave NYC for $37 each. That's a major deal, IMO.

Try one and you're gonna love it and wish you bought more at that price.

^ Yeah, I agree about the fabric. I don't think it'd go along with my conservative financebro workplace.

Any S/XS you see at the 5th Ave. store?

I work in banking and they fit in just fine for me. Actually get lots of compliments on them.

5th ave had lots of Smalls.

IMO the georgetown store has the best selection out of all the J Crews in nova/DC area. They have all the third party products like belstaff, barbour, thomas mason, etc plus a wider selection of J Crew products.

I haven't been in a few months but they've had alden, quoddy, new balance, tretorn, red wing, etc. for a few years now. The last time I went they had the alden chukkas, indy boots, and longwings. If you go be sure to check out the barbour store across the street. It's pretty impressive.

Visited the Rockefeller location in hopes to get the red cashmere scarf they had up online...only to be met with disappointment. It is as if they mistakenly put the red cashmere scarf on sale...was looking forward to buying for the cheaps.

question for SoCal posters: what's the best J Crew store in LA? The one in The Grove looks nice, but if there's one with better stock (esp. for slim-fit shirts) I'm all ears

Agree! I visited the Gerogetown store when I was on a detail in D.C. in 2010, and the selection is great. I picked up my Baracuda jacket there.
