The button stance is higher on a lot of trendy labels, but I don't like it higher for three reasons: (1) it eliminates the flattering V-shape the jacket should give my torso; (2) it causes the quarters to flare open; and (3) on a slim-fitting jacket, it makes it too tight across my chest (which, unlike my waist, expands when I breathe).

Completely agree with both of you here. Lower button-stance FTW

That answers the question for the wool ties, any idea for the "9 generation" silk tie makers in England as well? And thanks for that first answer!

anyone get the collab new balance 998s?

Has anybody tried the Factory jeans or flannel shirts? Are they decent for the price?

And how often are the 30% sales? I was in the middle of shopping when the latest one ended. Now this stuff is more than I wanted to spend.

Don't bother with Factory stuff. It's shit.
IMO, factory stuff is pretty much around GAP level in terms of material. I have a shirt and a sweater from factory. I mean, I'd wear them on occasion. They're just basics.
I wouldn't get factory jeans though. I'm not a huge denim person, only have one pair, but it seems like a waste of money to me. Better to spend more and get fewer, better jeans.

For me, the new balance sneaker collab is one of my favorites. Haven't had even the smallest desire for new balance products till now.

Anyone have any experience with their Victura jacket? Wondering if full retail's a bit much for what I'm getting.

Retail is expensive as fuck, period. If you can wait, hold off till November when the sales hit.

This is one of my favorite pieces for f/w, not just limited to J. Crew branded items.

Totally missed this. Can't justify buying it now, really hope it goes on sale.

I have that jacket...the fit is kinda big for me. Other than that, it looks good .

So Jcrew has a 25% off + free shipping on $150+ now. Should I keep waiting until November/December to buy a new coat, or bite on this one?
