Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

So I recently went into Nordstrom's to pick up a pair of Park Avenues. I came across this navy blazer. I know that Hugo Boss isn't a widely accepted name around here but I have been looking for a navy blazer for some time and have had trouble finding anything decent in the ~$300 price range. I just wanted some opinions on anyone's personal experience with this jacket or another. It has a different texture than that of a suit jacket and a ticket pocket which I think is interesting.

While browsing their website I did come across this. Does anyone feel like this would be a superior purchase?

Thanks for any input in advance.

Both of those look a bit like suit jackets to me. Regardless, at the ~ $300 price range, I would grab a blazer/sportcoat from brooks brothers instead:

Fitzgerald wool: http://www.brooksbrothers.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Merchant_Id=1&Section_Id=678&Product_Id=1502669&Parent_Id=217&default_color=NAVY&sort_by=&sectioncolor=&sectionsize=#null
Fitz cotton: http://www.brooksbrothers.com/IWCatProductPage.process?Merchant_Id=1&Section_Id=678&Product_Id=1662083&Parent_Id=217&default_color=Navy&sort_by=&sectioncolor=&sectionsize=

If you're looking for a Hugo Boss type fit (modern), the Fitzgerald/Regent or Cambridge models are probably closest. Milano is BB's slimmest line with darts but they don't seem to make staple blazers or sportcoats in that cut.

I had looked at the Fitzgerald in wool but I noticed they don't have my size in the online store (38r). I know the store here at the galleria doesn't stock any of the slim or extra slim fit shirt sizes so I'm not sure how likely they are to stock jackets on the smaller sizes. I'm going to try and stop by in the next few days.

My local, preferred BB (Century City) doesn't stock them either (the Rodeo BB does, but parking is a pain there). Any BB can order them for you if you have an idea of your size.

I highly recommend their ESF shirts. They are the only OTR shirts I can wear with minimal alterations (I only dart them, pretty much with all other brands I need them re-cut; only drawback is their armholes are slightly big). They have the measurements listed for all the different shirt sizes/cuts on the website, which I have found to be fairly accurate.

Yeah I recently picked up 3 ESF. Accidentally ordered just the SF and was surprised at the difference once I exchanged them. Anyone have any experience with Joseph Abboud jackets?
