Any news from Ledbury on when/if they're going to use an alternative method on the slim fits?

Hockeynut,

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Do you mind PMing me your email? I can forward the issue to the customer service team and they can provide you with the $25 credit.

I really like the Green Avery Brushed Oxford slim fit - I'm looking for a shirt that would look great with jeans and a grey Gitman Bros tie to wear when I take the plunge and pop the question to my lady.

In terms of sizing - Gant Rugger (hugger fit) and Gitman Vintage shirts fit me really well. I'm curious if anyone can comment on Ledbury's slim fit vs. those (more interested in body fit rather than sleeve/neck since those are obvious when ordering).

Finally, if any current members have a referral code and would like their $25 - PM me.

Hoptimist,

Congratulations! It's an honor to hear that we're what you envision wearing when you propose. I am also glad to hear you've kept up with us over the years.

The Green Avery is one of my favorite recent additions to the Ledbury collection. Depending on your size in Gant Rugger/Gitman Vintage, the Avery should fit TTS.

What size are you typically in those brands? I can post the pit to pit measurements for you to give you a clearer idea.

Fred G. Unn,

That's great to hear. It's a favorite among the guys in the office. Mind posting a fit pic when you get a chance?

Currently, our slim dress shirts are darted. However, our slim casual shirts such as the Callan, the Collins Denim, the Green Avery, or the Blue Roosevelt are not. According to the production team, slim shirts for the upcoming spring collection will not have darts. These new shirts should be online in March.

Does any one have a coupon code, or referral code that I can use? I'm looking to purchase a shirt today and would appreciate any discount advice.

Thanks in advance.

To any fellow Canadians considering Ledbury. If you live within a reasonable distance to the border, look for a business that can accept shipments. I live within an hour of Buffalo and do this often with Ebay purchases and I am considering a Ledbury shirt soon myself. Just a little piece of advice.smile.gif

I decided to give Ledbury a try. I ordered two shirts in two sizes each. I ordered the Avery brushed Oxford, and the Navy Cross Spread Collar. I ordered a 15.5 slim fit in each, and a 16 slim fit in each. The shirts were well constructed and made with quality fabrics. I really liked the Avery. The color and feel of the fabric was outstanding. It could have been my new favorite shirt. Unfortunately, it had a very goofy collar. It was very small and the points of it would not sit flat, and pointed out into the air.

The navy cross shirt had a very nice collar. Both shirts had pretty good buttons, although a little flatter than what I am used to. Both shirts, despite being slim fit were too billowy on me (I'm pretty skinny - I have to have BB esf shirts taken in). I would have had to take them to the tailor to have them taken in. Both shirts' arm holes were fairly high and just about right.

My chief problem with these shirts was the sleeve length. The 15.5 had a 34 sleeve. In the end it was simply going to be too short. Even if I washed cold/cold and line dried I bet there would be a little shrinkage, and I'd be walking looking like I had worn my little brother's shirt. The 16 had 35 sleeves. These fit much better, but 16 was too big around the neck. I'm sure if I washed and dried the shirt the neck would fit well enough, but then the sleeves would be too short.

So, in the end, I will not be keeping either of these shirts. It's a shame - they are nice shirts. The collars really do stay up without a tie. I tried one on with a sport jacket and walked around the house for a few minutes, and it stood perfectly.

Once they offer longer sleeves, or more sleeve length options, I will try again.

Please do add some more colours and patterns to the french cuffs.  At present there are only 4 french cuff listed (two tux, a blue twill and a stripe).  At present I will be staying with CT as they do offer the french cuff in a variety of options.  Would like to purchase as I think the offerings look interesting, but will have to wait until you build out the french cuff options...any ideas as to when that might occur?

wsumarine,

Thank you for sharing your experience with our shirts. Longer sleeve lengths are in the works for future production. However, the date they will be produced has not been finalized.

Do you mind posting or PMing your chest measurement? I may be able to offer a few suggestions for slimmer OTR shirts.

Over the course of the next few weeks, I'll share photos of the day-to-day operations of Ledbury and upcoming events.

For now, here's a photo of 3 of our newest Short Run shirts. In order are the Vanguard Dot, Preston Herringbone, & Carden Check. They're available here until February 11th.

As always, we're open to requests.
