That jacket would go really well with a madder paisley tie.

I dislike patterned squares, I have a bunch of them in the back of my spare wardrobe, I guess I just find them to be too dandy even for me. I prefer to opt out entirely or wear white linen.

Well, in that pic it IS paired with a madder paisley tie, which doens't go at all.

Interesting, I see brown tweed, navy blue knit tie, light blue shirt. Maybe my eyes have a way of improving the pictures that other people post.

re: the gorge, that's a london jacket, gorge is much lower than a naples coat, the camera angle is very low, I don't notice a problem when I look at it straight on (though I have not worn it since March or so)

I do notice that lift on some of the solito stuff but it doesn't bother me.

O/O I think CPT's paisley tie would work perfect with that jacket. Infact I have the same jacket and wear it with dark green/brown madder paisley. I feel like I'm missing out by not having a dark green stripe shirt.

O/O, I don't like either tie subjectively. More objectively, the neat tie doesn't seem to go with the tweed. The finish is too clear; it begs for a smooth worsted.

I like the coat and shirt.

The former ensemble which you posted in B/W and in color was very nice (except for the lapel flower), even if I wouldn't wear it myself.
