The last look I posted was patterned linen. I paired it with unseasonal chunky brogues, so I was wrong top to bottom. Magnifique.

I await with interest the patterned linens proposed over at the london lounge.

Alden is doing patterned linen? I disagree with him on matters of taste about 0.01% of the time but this is a big one.

Are you sure that you need the word "casual" in that sentence?

I think that the fix for this would be for Foo and Manton to hang out together more.

What do you think?

leaving aside the people who don't know any better, do any of you actually support patterned linen?

Does this extend to neckwear, Manton? I have and greatly enjoy this necktie:

Maybe I don't know any better, however I do own a few short-sleeve sportshirts in linen for casual weekend and beach/pool wear. At least 1 of them has very faint stripes. Somewhat similar in style to these, but without the ribbed sleeves in the second:

Although, I do understand that you're talking primarily about suiting.

A brown glen check and a grey houndstooth I think. I'm tempted, but perhaps I know no better.

Do you extend this rule to linen shirtings?
