So I think I'm giving up my Born sandals after four years, in favor of new Birkenstocks.... I had purchased them from a good shop in Toronto's Yorkville, in 2008, and I believe that the design is truly elegant, if that would could be applied to a sandal.... Masculine, as well. But one of the pair had gotten to the point of stretching out of control to stay on. A good shoe repair place is willing to replace the elastic of both sandals for $16 (was it $13?) but the overall condition isn't that good, etc. I'm really taken with the Birkenstocks, in any case.
