What is a "P2P" Measurement in Jackets?

Thread Starter

I see frequent reference to a "p2p" measurement when talking about jackets and sports coats, but have been unable to figure out what is being measured.

Google has not been of assistance.

Thanks.

(arm)Pit to (arm)Pit. Measures the size of the chest of the item.

No it's shorthand for point to point which is a measurement of the shoulder width.

I prefer PTP myself.

No, it's not. Rich0116 was correct with Pit 2 Pit. Certainly whenever the term is used on this forum or in B&S at least.

I've seen P2P referring to both. Most commonly though, it is pit to pit.
