The two pairs of Panta pants I have are far beyond stuff like Kiton which seemed way less lux the day after those Panta's arrived.
I don't have any of the ties but I'd be shocked to expect anything otherwise.post #1701 of 21723/18/13 at 9:28amQuote:Originally Posted by A Canuker

post #1705 of 21723/18/13 at 3:15pmHi Spoo, wanted to say thanks; I got an Oxxford SC and a Charvet from you recently and also wanted to say I enjoy your posts on the forum.
Was curious, why do you always put a silly adjective in bold letters in all your auction titles? "TIMELESS Hermes tie", "STAPLE Brooks Brothers Suit WOW". Surely you don't need these to sell the amazing merchandise you have.

The ties are amazing, and are some of the hardest things Ive had to sell and not keep. I can also confirm there are no spaghetti stains on them.Quote:Originally Posted by DandyStatsProf

Thanks for the note, glad you liked the items. When/which ones did you win? Theres always free domestic shipping for SF members. Send me the auction link and Ill credit you retroactively.Quote:
Hey, Im always open to suggestions - though the adjective thing may seem silly sometimes (though I do enjoy coming up with unusual ones, frankly) to you seasoned menswear vets, it does create attention amongst some lesser informed clientele, and visually breaks them apart from the pack. I dont think that anyone is particularly buying a tie because its a RARE Kiton 7 fold or an AMAZING Charvet woven tie, though they are certainly clicking on them. The more clicks, the more times they explore the full range of auctions that week, and the odds for cross purchases and more exposure are increased. So, theres that.post #1708 of 21723/18/13 at 4:47pmQuote:Originally Posted by SpooPoker

I mean, I guess you can get some really exclusive stuff to sell. But now I get it haha.
Nothing bad with that. I think it's handy the way the info is displayed.

Well, "RARE" is kind of thrown around a bit - though sometimes its true. Rare in the sense of are there many made, like a limited edition? Of course there are many made - its clothing
But rare as in comes up for sale often, in that size? Its appropriate at that point to an extent, yes.post #1710 of 21723/18/13 at 5:49pmQuote:
Of course not. I can imagine it does help attract the less informed clientele. I kind of figured they would just stick to Macys, JCPenney, etc. though.
