Hi all, so im looking for a new suit ! i have tried a ben sherman...poor fit etc, also just received a ct black label grey mohair which is no way a £700 suit imo compared to my paul smith suit it felt like a £100 suit. Anyway im looking at these two for now..

Both are in the same ball park with regards to price the question is which would you say has the better fit style and quality.

It is impossible to judge on YOU (which is all that matters) from advertisements.

Further more, the guys modelling the suits in the photos are likely to be wearing made-to-measure suits rather than a suit just pulled off the rack. The last suit I had fully tailored (this year) cost £500, although it may cost more in other towns; it all depends on the cloth. If your looking at £300 suits I would definately forget buying something off-the-peg and put the rest towards a tailored suit. That way you get what you want and it will fit properly too.

How you intend to use the the suit should influence the type and fit of suit you choose.  Also, I'd be wary of online purchase unless you are pretty regular shaped and confident of your measurements.  Consider too, manufacture & cloth quality & the suits "weight".  All pretty difficult to assess on line.  Better to get into a reputable store and "feel the quality".  John Lewis are currently discounting Chester Barrie (which aren't bad all rounders) and one or two other brands.  They have large enough stock to offer most sizes, fits & colour options (I dont work there!).
