Well, the french cuffs and (if he follows my advice) vest and shepherd's check tie aren't daily office wear (for most Angelenos). Also, if you're getting good quality stuff, why not go for stuff that you'll be able to use in the future. The bride is the one that's supposed to shine.

Granted, but given that he is getting a bespoke suit, I didn't think the price to be out of line with his means and To Boot are not very nice shoes.

Gray bespoke suit, notch lapel, double vent, flat front pants
White bespoke spread collar french cuff shirt
Some badass To Boot NY caramel oxfords (no wingtips, simple smooth)
Matching belt
White pocket square
Navy bow tie.

Bring it!

Sounds good in general. Make sure everything is tailored closely.

Do you have a badass body, badass car, and badass bride to go with all that? fight[1].gif

I would recommend a hung tie instead of a bow for your wedding. When you look back in 20 years, you cannot possible regret wearing a nice tie, but bowties often appear costumed or affected for things like weddings.

I'm sure the bride-to-be isn't so interested in the tie being hung.

Plain toe black shoes, blue Shepard check neck tie. IMO.
