While I'm relatively new here (Hi all!
), I've been lurking for a while and dabbling in MTM and bespoke shirts for some time now.
What I'd like to gather from all you seasoned SF'ers is how you lads take to online shopping when it comes to shirts. I've recently come across a few exclusively online RTW and MTM brands with rather reasonable pricing and the promise of quality (though promises are easy to make and hard to keep
).
While I've never been a total stranger to purchasing online from the likes of Brooks Brothers, T&A, H&K, H&H, I've always been reluctant to try out anything MTM or even RTW from newer brands. Personally, I like to be able to see and feel what I'm purchasing and without that, I'm always a bit reluctant. Thankfully I live in Toronto where we have a decent (though pricey) range of shirtmakers. Of course, I'm not looking to compare established brick and mortar shirtmakers to online MTM brands as they're different beasts altogether, but my question is this:
What do SF'ers think of the new "My First MTM" online retailers offering shirts made in Asia in the $80-$120 price range?
Do you believe one can attain a good fit when they are forced to measure one of their existing shirts?
