Summer Shoe Sales: Leffot, Leathersoul, Alden of Carmel - Page 2

Anyone have any experience with Corthay?

I spoke to the guys at Leffot, and they told me they are the most narrow shoes they sell.

They said people who wear the D last on EG would find them tight.

Make sense?

I've been eying quite a few pairs shog[1].gif

yes, they're very narrow. best you can do is size up if you have wider feet.

It's a handsome shoe and I very much wanted it, but I have so many brogues presently. I had it in the cart... Pavlovian responses firing... took a swig and closed the page.
The Edward Green Buckingham Navy Suede may work for you, too. http://leffot.com/shop/edward-green-buckingham-navy-suede/
Thanks for the temptation, roman.

cheers.gif

They had a couple makeups on sandringham that caught my attention. Great looking design, IMO

I was looking at that one as well . . . alas, not in my size. I was flirting with the Rider gunmetal cordovan chukka, but ultimately dumped my cart because I don't know whether I would wear them often enough. Nice boots, though.

When is the Leather Soul sale and is it usually the standard 30% off like the Leffot sale? Thanks.

Corthay are not a good shoe construction wise (according to De Pied en Cap analysis) and very expensive. But if you be pimpin' be my guest!

Wasn't there some conversation that Corthay changed the construction of their shoes since that analysis and were now considered quite well constructed?

I could be talkin' out of my a*& here but that's how I remember it.

Leffot at 40% off now

Walked into Leffot for my first time today (in NY on business), and to make a return.

Great store - love the decor!

Ended up refilling my meter 3 times, and talking to Steven for about 3 hours. Was a great experience!

Side note - I picked up the last pair of EG "newmarket" boots, burgundy EG belt, midnight EG belt (to match my newly purchased EG's from the sale), and working on 2 pairs of MTO!

Lesson learned - next time just swallow the $300 loss and don't make the return satisfied.gif

^ you returned the blue chelseas? How much was the belt and how dark is it?
No, I had bought the wrong sized trees for g & g shoes.

The belt was 250 and matched exactly with the midnight Chelsea's.
