I'm curious as to how many members currently active on the forum wear or would wear a tank top. After reading through this thread, it appears that in 2007, tank tops were not SF approved, lulz. What's the consensus these days? (not that I give a shit, I wear tank tops frequently when it gets hot out)

I wear tank tops, but then again, I may not be the most reliable gauge of what is or is not SF-approved.

I wear sleeveless undershirts (a-shirts) under my dress shirts everyday. On occasion, I will wear a tank top when working in the yard or biking.

I still need to man up and buy the vibskov one from this season.

DO IT. Farfetch has the two black and white ones and the black and white and red one for seventy-something I think? Some stuff I've been eyeing/thinkin bout: Philip Lim did that "Yes...Perhaps" tank that I'm really into. Only place I've found it so far though is Oak and they've marked it up to one fiddy- fuck that. Just have to wait till sale time. There are a couple Raf tanks on Yoox but I wasn't sure how to size them and I'm lazy blah blah. There's also a Raf "technofabric" sleeveless woven thing on there. Think Acne did some cool stuff this season; EDIT- now that I think about it I've only seen one Acne tank for this season, but I really enjoy what they did with the t-shirts and the whole collection in general.. Nudie did some fun printed tanks this season to go with their underwear a la CdG. Vanishing Elephant did a few tanks with scarves and panel knitting or whatever. Shades of Greige has those button neck pocket tanks that I would probably buy if they were any cheaper. UO has some cool printed tanks that look a bit like the CdG prints; bought one when I was in St. Louis. If it warms up later this week I might do a fit pic.

^ It's really just RO and Julius that do interesting ones. The Julius ones are unsurprisingly Rick influenced, but I am a sucker for all things cashmere shredded.

I think Viridi-anne has some nice ones, but there's no reason to drop that kind of paper for a standard fitting tank.

At some point Poell did have a tape-seamed, object dyed tank.

Yeah, I haven't seen this particular piece IRL, but I've handled stuff with the same treatment/construction and it's pretty fucking next level. The photo doesn't capture it.

i think they are more acceptable now, bc lets be honest little bits of hipster fashion eventually seep into the mainstream - so that tank top with skinny jeans and fedora and wayfarers look -- its seeped in, don't deny it.

its a throwback look - like i'm thinking specifically of the 70's/80's when guys were wearing those short cutoff jean shorts and tiny t's or tanktops and shaggy hair. think Milk but maybe not that gay haha. i've seen pics of my dad as a teenager in that look, it's crazy ha.

I don't care to see man hairy armpit, so I try to extend the same courtesy and don't wear tank tops. Besides to me you look slightly silly unless your arms are evenly tanned and ripped.

Again, tank tops look best with tits in them.

Hello self from the past! How are you, you handsome devil! Oh, and break up with her, you'll know what I mean soon!

(my opinion regarding tank tops still hasn't changed)

How bout a bump.

Looking for something loose/drape'ish and cheap. i've no need for "designer", plan to travel with and toss when I'm done. anyone have experience with AA, just checked the site and the homoerotic fit pics are too distracting:embar:
