I have searched the internet and this forum, for shoe polishing/bulling guides, and have not found many tips, to help one get past a certain plateau of shine.

I, then, found--haha, so interesting--a guide that did work.

The problem I was having was, that I wasn't using enough water.

The best way, to get a mirror shine is, to dunk the whole rag into a cup of water, ring it out, add a small amount of polish, and, then, bull the shoes in small circles. You'll start, to make small circles (like those tables one can find in coffee houses). Continue this--every so often, repeat the process (add more polish)--making sure to use a new piece of cloth so as, to keep the area wet enough.

The add polish first, wait to dry, add a drop of water, and buff method doesn't work for me; therefore, I believe this method above may help some people, with not much bulling experience, and, at least, may open up the debate again. smile.gif
