Er.. because it's way too complicated, and it's for fun, not a civics lesson? Also, it's not necessarily MC vs. SWD. There are those who cross party lines.

Somewhat related, but I'd like to see this thread be turned into a kind of "Good Threads of the Week" thread. Meaning, members come here to post noteworthy threads, even if they're not so outstanding that they might make the front page or beat SWD or whatever.

Reason being that sometimes it's hard to keep up with the day to day posting on StyleForum, and it's useful to have one thread to follow in case anything good comes up.

Note, this could apply to good posts as well. My point really is that we should lower the threshold for what's worth posting in here. Maybe it's so outstanding that it'll make the front page; maybe it's so outstanding that it'll win some prize; maybe it's just a worthwhile thing to direct less active members to. A highlights of the week, if you will, though it doesn't have to be so involved that it's posted as some sort of digest.

This post was inspired by this, incidentally, which I wish we had more of. I'd like to see that same concept applied to posts/ threads in general, not just WAYWT.

I want to make sure that everyone knows that the poll for the inaugural monthly winner is now up in SW&D. We will alternate voting locations between SW&D and MC. I know the entries are also on the homepage, but doesn't it make sense to have links to each of the entries within the voting thread as well? Especially for members that don't cross forum lines, I think it might be helpful.

Also, Fok, you seem to have a penchant for adding a "l" to my name. Just basting. Not quite blasted. At least not yet.
