Best Navy Blue Blazers

Good Morning & Happy 4th to those stateside!

Just want to start off by saying that I have enjoyed the wealth of knowledge here on SF for quite some time.

I am currently in the market for a navy blue blazer, but am unsure of where to go to get one at a good value and fit.

I was recently at the Turnbull & Asser summer sale in NYC and tried on one of their blazers and it fit beautifully. I'm generally a 38R but most off the rack items tend to be a bit too big front to back. Not so with the T&A. I've been looking for something similar since seeing that blazer as the $1,200 tag is a little bit more than I am looking to spend.

Things I'm looking for in a blazer:

2 Button

Double Vent

Trim, tailored fit

Ticket pocket (not necessary but would be great)

I'm NYC based so I know there a lot of great options around, but I am unsure as which to avail myself of. MTM? Off the Rack? Where?

Thanks in advance for your advice!

About a year ago I got a great RLPL navy blazer that hits everything on your list for about half the price of the T&A you tried on. I snagged it off eBay, BNWT for around $500-$600, can't remember the exact price.

Everybody says that. XXXX branded whatever fits me spot-on, beautifully, to a T.

I highly doubt you know what a good fit is

Thanks for all the replies so far. For this purchase about $500-$600 is the top end of my budget.

Yes it would definitely help if you have a specific budget range for the blazers.

Mr. Ned is a good option at this price level.

I ordered a Samuelsohn for ~$900 as a result of their trunk show. A penny more than you desire. Try ebay for the same. I've seen similar for ~ $100

Phineas Cole fits your budget.

It would be a steal to get around $500 worth of quality navy blue blazer on ebay. But off the rack I found one at an RL store last year.

The phrase "navy blue" could be considered redundant at this point. "Navy" suffices on its own, seeing as how there are no other colors commonly qualified as "navy." There is no navy green, nor a navy red, nor a navy brown.

Respectfully,
E.B.W.
