Is tucking jeans into boots okay?

Thread Starter

So I recently got some new black jeans and they don't fit over my boots properly. I didn't order them skinny or anything I guess they are just too slim even though they are labelled regular or the boots are too bulky im not sure.

Can you tuck jeans into these or would it look bad? boot

If you're also wearing a government-issued beret (green), then feel free to tuck.

Would be more of a SW&D style

and don't lace the boot all the way up.

It would not only look bad, it would likely be uncomfortable as well. Jeans are too stiff to be bloused properly.

Pull your socks up past the top of the boots, lace up the boots, then roll the tops of the socks over the tops of the boots. Then pull the jeans down over them.

Those are the ugliest boots ever made.

I've seen uglier. However Lowa boots are excellent functional boots even if not SF approved.

That said, if they are those exact boots, I sure hope it's snowing where the OP is wearing them. Wearing Goretex boots in temperate weather is basically poaching your feet. Not good.

I would get rid of the boots or, if you must wear them, do so with a different pair of jeans, I assume that you have more than one pair. Either way do not tuck them in in civilian context or unless you wish to be seen looking awful.

I would prefer not too. Tucking Jeans into boots is so Cowboyish.

It would be absolutely fine.

If you want to look like you buy your clothes from All Saints and wear a massively oversized beanie hat and a scoop necked t-shirt. biggrin.gif

This is totally OK in a fishing or logging town in Maine or Alaska, and the streets of Katmandu.

I don't care if they make toast. Those are butt ugly boots.

Oh if they are functional then tuck your pants in or they'll get covered by slush and snow.

Tucking jeans into boots is fine (and currently "fashionable" look up Balmain's styling for instance).

I don't know if this kind of aesthetic would work on those pair of boots though, if they don't then just wear another jeans with wider leg opening.
