I'm a size 30" waist and my lvc 47's with a 11.5" rise dont seem overly long on me just a standard rise. I think this obsession with rise length goes to far on this forum. My slim jims have a rise of 9.5" and dont seem particularly low. My torso to leg ratio is in proportion so i guess i can get away with different rises within reason though a mid rise of around 10-10.5 suits me best
If you have a long torso and short legs then a higher rise will look better. Vice versa and a low rise will look better as it will even out your proportions. It really is as simple as that
