An old teammate of mine is making his NHL debut for the Devils tonight at Boston...looks good so far. Very cool, 30 years old, paid his dues in the AHL, getting his shot. May even stay a while if they send SM to Jrs. And no, I will NEVER like the Devils. Matt Anderson.

Just saw that as I'm watching the game.  very cool and happy to see him get his chance...

Watching my 'hawks and the Wild. I can't ever see who it is during the line changes, but the Wild have a strong right d-man, he's all over the place tonight. In a couple of tight scrapes so far (double PPs and such), Crawford has earned his pay.

Pens at Rangers tonight. Should be a fun game, hoping that the Rangers can avenge that home opening loss to the Pens.

so much for that strong start

Crosby is so protected by the refs.

also, Rangers: 4 "too many men" penalties on the season and 3 goals given as a result. Really???

Lots of teams getting caught with TMM. No training camp will get you that. I turned on the Islander game after it was 3-0, and the islanders got called for one with 1:30 left in the third in a 4-4 game, WITH 9 PLAYERS ON THE ICE. 9!!!!!

Thomas Vanek - 6 games, 15 points.

God damn the Flyers are painful to watch. Their PP is 23rd in the league and Giroux needs help. I didn't know how much losing Jagr would hurt them, but it does. Outside chance for trading for Iginla?!biggrin.gif

Ugh Wayne Simmonds probably has one hell of a headache. Hope he's OK.

I'd be OK with an iginla trade. Flames should've gotten rid of him 5 years ago... Now even if he gets moved at the deadline, guaranteed he's a rental who resigns in Calgary.

this season does not exist.

When the Ducks got Boudreau I was neutral but he's been pretty damn good. I don't even think we are playing all the well defensively but it hasn't mattered because our offense is such an improvement. Every game a different line is scoring. Last game, we get 3 goals from the fourth line. First couple of games of the season, it was the third. Perry and Getzlaf haven't even been playing all that well. And Hiller has been pretty mediocre. Only problem is that this style of play will not go over well in the playoffs. But at least I'm not bashing my head against the wall like the last few years.

I'm sure the Flyers will wake up shortly. Kings are bizarre, they are playing similar to last year regular season when they squeaked into the playoffs. I figured their playoffs identity was their new one. Can't believe how atrociously Buffalo is playing...esp with Vanek leading the league. Poor Flames fans, same ol shit. I swear that team finds the most amazing ways to lose games early and late.

major ugh. The D has been really weak, and Miller hasn't been particularly sharp either.

Vanek is just a beast though. His knack for putting the puck in the pack of the net is just crazy.

Yeah, it's surprising esp since they had all those expectations last year and sucked. I figured they'd get it together this year with everyone forgetting about them. On paper the D looks good and Miller is usually solid. No question Myers is regressing and it seems like the rest of the forward lines are doing nothing. Is it the second line that has a crappy +/- ?

Rupp to Min for Powe and Palmieri. Miller called up from the Whale, along with a tough guy. Home sick, so I'll enjoy watching the Devil game tonight.
