this. Besides, LOTS of teams are having bumpy starts. It's somewhat inevitable at this point.

I've noticed that they're not being particularly physical either. Seemed like the Flyers out hit the Rangers and there was not much of a response.

Also, on the 5x3, the Rangers controlled the play for the majority of the time. But they weren't creating opportunities besdies a great one from Nash. I don't know what the hesistation was.

a good news spot for the Rangers, is Taylor Pyatt. Best Ranger through 3 games.

Yep.

Look at the bottom 11:

VANCOUVER 1 1 1
COLUMBUS 1 2 1
CAROLINA 1 2 0
DETROIT 1 2 0
PHILADELPHIA 1 3 0
NY RANGERS 1 3 0
FLORIDA 1 3 0
PHOENIX 1 3 1
CALGARY 0 2 1
LOS ANGELES 0 2 1
WASHINGTON 0 3 0

Vancouver, Detroit, Philly, NYR, Florida, Phoenix, LA, Washington were all playoff teams last year. Heck, Carolina picked up Semin and J. Staal and were supposed to be better this year and they're terrible thus far. Calgary and Columbus are the only ones in the right place there. Give Torts some time, I'm sure he'll work out some changes - NYR's roster is too good to not be effective.

Talk about extreme hockey karma for Edmonton... get a disallowed tying goal on a garbage call with 1 minute left, Yakupov pots one with 5 seconds left and Gagner wins it in OT. Check out the highlights on NHL.com if you can, ridiculous game. Hilarious celebration from Yakupov and well worth the watch:

Sharks are looking pretty scary early on, but I don't have a lot of faith in Niemi as a #1. Glad the Flames managed to actually win one. Nice for you to see a home win, NYI - although I'm still confused if you've reverted back to NYR fandom or not.

Come on, gents... I can't be the only one watching hockey around here.

the Sharks look poised for yet another excellent regular season.

I've missed the past few games due to social obligations, including what looked like a great win for the Rangers. And I'll miss tomorrow's Flyers game due to more social obligations. Meh.

New seating is a disaster in the upper levels...basically three sections combined into one gate. Intermissions were a disaster and I hate to imagine how an emergency would play out. The lower bowl seemed fine, not nearly as congested and crowded. Our seats (since 1978) have moved slightly left of center ice (as you can see) closer to the rink, and higher up. My pop's seats are at $53, the row in front of us are $79. Seats much smaller. I also think eliminating the old sections, and shifting to a big bowl makes it a lot less loud as the noise seems to just disappear into the massive void that is the center of the arena. A positive, the lighting is MUCH better.

As far as the NYI/NYR, we will be season ticket holders at Barclay's in 2015. And I do have a soft spot for a team playing here, but it's hard to say goodbye to a tradition I grew up with, as disappointed as I am in the way the organization treated its season subscribers during this move (and there are some horror stories). The Rangers have always been a class organization and you felt the difference simply going to NC and going to MSG, hopefully the Isles can pick up some of that when they move to the borough, but for now I'll be rooting for both, and quietly rooting for NYR when they play each other...until 2015 at least.

Enjoy! That Russian kid looks exciting to watch. Especially with Hall and Eberle.

Yakupov is a beast. Out of the three 1st picks in hall, rnh and him, I think he has the best future ahead.

LOL I love cherry but yakupov can slide around all he likes. God forbid someone hotdog it when they tie it with 5 seconds left.

Cherry is an idiot.

+1. I actually just saw the goal celebration video and it's a tad out there. A tad. Reminded me of a Fleury celebration, but he's Canadian so it's a moot point.

have you been to Barclays? The fancy restaurants are similar to MSG's now, and maybe even a little better. Def. not old-school hockey venue.
