Hi everyone, Im new to the forum and I wanted to get some opinions on such way to go for a wedding Tux / suit.
All my current suits for work and other such are Paul Stuart and canali. I love them. They arent crazy expensive but I get them direct from the manufactureer who is a family friend so...anyway,who cares. To my question.
Im recently happily engaged, to be wed July of 2013, and Im looking to get a Tux or a bespoke suit.
For tuxs I don't know much, except that I like the James bond style. Black shawl collar, black bow tie, white pocket square. I love the shawl collar, but I'm not sure of a good bespoke tux brand. All I know is Tom Ford.
For a bespoke suit i was looking at brioni or Tom Ford, but I was hoping to get some opions from people with more experience and a better eye then me. I just love the way a great suit looks, feels and fits.
Any opinions that I can get would be greatly appreciated. I'm likely to pair them with custom Stubbs and wooton shoes.

Let's start with this: what is it about, say, a Paul Stuart or Canali ready-to-wear tuxedo that you would hope a bespoke tux would improve upon?

Right now in lucky that im right off the rack pretty much. Im hoping for an even better fit and even nicer fabrics.

OK, but understand that bespoke isn't just "the same, but better". Especially if you're going to an entirely different tailoring house, you're going to be getting an entirely different cut suit. The hierarchy of tuxes that your original post presupposes doesn't really exist. If you're really interested in doing this, then you'll want to go around to many tailors, understand what kind of suits they do, try to get a feel for what kind of suit you want, match your desires to a house style. Until you do this, especially if you're already happy with the fit of your RTW suits, I'm not sure it's worth going to Brioni and plunking down $10k or whatever it is they charge for a bespoke tux.
