apple dropped the price of the 13" retina by $200, which is fairly substantial. I always thought it was priced too high compared to the 15" model with similar storage. It's now $1499 for 128GB and $1699 for 256GB.

And spec bumped the processor. Of course, this is just a prelude to the Haswell chips, which is where the real game will be.

Ordered a refurb 13" 128GB for $1269. Will see if I still hate Apple laptops or not. My Lenovo T61 is 5.5 years old at this point; have started playing around w/ Photoshop and just opening the program itself is slow as hell.

On a more serious note - as I mentioned, the current laptop isn't cutting it for Photoshop work. I don't really think of myself as a power user - I use more RAM than I do processor/graphics speed. No gaming. I usually have 30-50 browser tabs open, maybe a few word docs/spreadsheets/pdfs, some music playing, and lately a few Photoshop files open. I don't do any video work; only photo.

Thoughts on whether the i5 2.5 w/ 8GB ram will work for my needs?
