While I doubt it helped I hope it did. I don't know what makes people go down that road.

When a junkie passes out ice on the nuts apparently is the best way to bring them back. Maybe Larry can opine on why this works but I've seen it in action. It's like slamming a diabetic that's bottomed out with an amp of D50.

at the pawn shop, when they pass out on the counter, we used to slam the counter with an open palm really hard. that also wakes them up real good. the best part is seeing them act as if or even say, they hadnt passed out.

he struck me as one. It was on 5th ave but I didn't see any wife or 4 kids hanging out. And while I didn't see a cup for jingling, he did have money in his hands, but I don't think it was a "come have a chat and this money is yours" type of thing. And he was there for at least 20 mins. Also, no legs. And the whole manicure thing.

all of these tend to have the symptoms of a begger, but I agree that otherwise I probably wouldn't have guessed.
