I just saw someone wearing a "Magic the Gathering" denim jacket.

A quick search shows this on ebay

typical Saturday in NYC for me. Slept in, made coffee and breakfast, went to the farmer's market to pick up some vegetables, walked around the bride to get to the turnips, etc.

It's 39 degrees. How does she not freeze?! I assume it was for photographs.

looks like they were on the way to a wedding and stopped off for a turnip. never know who you'll have to peg with a vegetable to get them to shut up. i like a woman who comes prepared.

I live in Florida where the weather was perfect this weekend for some serious bicycling. I took a route that goes through a number of older communities with nice big overhanging trees and lots of....

squirrels!! a freakin' squirrel comes barreling out across the street at me. Like most squirrels, he starts, jumps, stops, reconsiders, turns around to retreat for a second, nope, changes his mind, heads for me and after a dozen micro-second fits and starts, finally mans up and dashes right between my speeding wheels. I literally saw that little bastard flatten out and haul ass as he flew under my spinning feet. From the first time I saw him to the moment he flew underneath couldn't have been 3 seconds, but he must have changed his mind and direction about 10 times.

I was really worried I'd break his back and end up with some damn half-dead squirrel that needed to be put out of it's misery and nothing do it with other than stomping it. For me, that would be a serious hard thing to do.

He made it. Here's hoping the nut was worth it...

Sorry, no pics.

ha, peer pressure is starting to pay off. This one can easily be excused.

when I used to cycle in college, road kill was a constant threat in the summer. Not killing them, per se, but steaming up a solid incline only to be choked out by a not-fresh example that you first smelled 75 yards away. Yuck.

I stepped on a squirrel once. We had these these on campus with no fear on man, and he started doing that back and forth thing right in front of me. Zigged when he should have zagged and I stepped right on him. He ran off after that.

Also saw one eating a chicken wing...butbut.gif
post #405 of 547
was the wing still attached to a breathing chicken?
