Where is the Finamore store you went to? The street just off Marinella and square where Ferragamo is?

Yep that one.

For some reason, your pictures make it look way bigger than it is!

Did you go downstairs? I never did... always walked out of there pretty quickly as well, I just can't get round the language barrier sometimes frown.gif

Nope, didn't go downstairs - spent too much time looking at ties and pocket squares and I had to get over to meet Mina and Dino. I also meant to mention in my original writeup, they had some colorful and beautiful summer scarves. Summer scarves are a step too far for me as it's just pure decoration and flamboyance, while making you more uncomfortable rather than less...unless it's a summer in San Francisco or something. In DC the idea of wearing a scarf during the summer is just ridiculous. But anyway if you're into scarves, they would be a good place to look.

Another thing - across the street from Finamore is the Armani shop, the windows of which showed basically the exact opposite of what I was looking for and what other shops displayed. In particular, a way-too-short DB with matching pants that looked like sweatpants, hemmed up with an elastic hem, with a side zipper. On suit pants. I used to like Armani a lot, and still some of the things I have I like a lot and wear, but they seem lost now to me.

My DB has some belly to the lapel whereas your lapels are straight. Did you ask for straight lapels or was it the default?

Hmm I can't remember. If we talked about it, I would have said I wanted straight lapels. But I also don't think I've ever seen a NsM coat with bellied lapels.

Phenomenal write-up, thank you.

Good write up. Where did you stay there? Did you do capri?

I stayed at Hotel Majestic, which was nice and well-located. Hotel Alabardieri seems to be the other main option. I unfortunately didn't get to go to Capri or Pompeii...I hope to see both on a future visit, perhaps when it's not so infernally hot.

I heard the place is abandoned in August. I go to Napoli in March/April and September/October.
