What *don't* you wear? - Page 8

post #106 of 173
We've had a number of similar threads of this sort in the past. The amusing thing, I find, is that almost everything I wear ends up on someone or another's sh*t list! I note that a great many of the items listed are scarcely "SF-approved" garments in the spirit of the original post.

I can't think of too many SF-approved items I shun: I don't wear suspenders/braces although I might do so if I ever acquired a black-tie ensemble. For some totally irrational reason, I loathe any sweaters that button. I do not own any jeans

Skinny, low-rise jeans (unless they come with a 36 waist!).

For some reason there are people who stick to archaic styles. The zipper has been around for a 100 years and there's no reason to use buttons on a jumper. Shoe laces make no sense either and in fact a slipon that fits you will always feel and look much better. Tell me, does this style shoe make any sense?http://www.crockettandjones.com/Product/Weymouth-Darkbrown

The lacing is so closed that you could just as well wear a slipon and it will fit and look better.

to explain, I had a coworker that rolled up his sleeves every day without fail for two years. To above his elbows. I thought he looked like a complete idiot.
I will roll up a bit while driving or if I need to do physical work
but I dislike when people roll up their sleeves as the norm

I guess he never heard of short sleeves.lol8[1].gif If you're a person who needs to roll up sleeves all the time for some job then perhaps you're a short sleeve guy.

* Denim
* Pre-tied neckwear of any kind (even though I'm required to wear a clip-on FIH as a part of my work uniform)
* Double-breasted sportcoats
* Undershirts
* Wristwatches (What's the point? I can always use my cellphone to tell the time)
* White shirts (unless I'm wearing formal or semi-formal attire)
* Low-rise trousers
* Skinny/slim ties

I'll be willing to bet that lots of the listed items are there because the poster does not have the body shape to wear them.
