Tank Watches on a budget

Hi all. I am a stylish, but conservative dresser. My wardrobe usually consists of either a 3 piece single breasted, two piece single breasted, or a variety of 6 button double-breasted suits. I always wear a pocket square and have about a hundred of them and about as many ties plus 25 or 30. I wear wingtips, captoes, or laceup ankle banker boots. All my shirts are french cuffed. I wear one of two or three tanks watches that I own: a Seiko; A Fossil; and a vintage Hamilton. All with leather straps. My question is given the rest of my wardrobe, can anyone suggest other tank case watches that are not too terribly expensive. Thanks.

I don't understand how the rest of your wardrobe determines what tank watches should be suggested. How about this, you already have three tank watches, why not get another kind of watch?

You should provide some style choices. Show a picture of a watch you like. What is your budget? Do you want a mechanical watch or will a quartz suffice if it's just a look you are going for? What occasion the watch is for will determine whether it should be casual or formal.

You could get a Cartier Tank watch, it is easily the most iconic. These can be had second hand for non-outrageous amounts.

For someone who claims to be such a "stylish"dresser, your lack of knowledge
Regarding tank watches is utterly appalling.

Shame on you for wasting everyone's time.

you might look to baume & mercier. they have a 18k and you might be able to find a 14k by looking to the internet watch sellers. might also look to the website at timezone. looks remarkably like a cartier tank - at a much better price point. also might look to the cartier must collection - goldtone and at a better pricepoint.

Basically that is how I see it. With technically Cartier inventing the term, so one could argue only their watches are true tanks.

De Rossi at centre back Sunday?

i would think so (too big a game to entrust bonucci). i'm not sure of uefa rules (as opposed to the usual serie a head games) but it seems chiellini is definitley a scratch...

I am sorry I wasted your time. However, if your snobbish time is so valuable, why did you waste even more of this priceless commodity by replying? You, sir, are an affront to gentlemen are a callow boor.

Thank you for answering the question without all the editorializing that some of the others engage in. I appreciate the information, especially as this will be the last time I will be posting on this forum. I expected gentlemen here.

Here is one, the iconic Vostok Komandirskie tankist .... can get one for under $40 from ebay or directly from Russia.

Oh, you did not mean that kind of tank??? I'll take my hat ;-)

Seriously, how about a JLC Reverso? In all of its varieties? Perhaps not truly a tank but close enough .... and an all time classic.

Provided Poloboy has not really chased you off ....

You can't be both stylish and conservative? Do you mean you rotate the 2 styles?

Get the watch in this link and replace the strap with a real lizard strap. If you goolge you find a decent lizard strap for less the $50.
