First denim jacket being shipped today.

Very Nice.

I was thinking more of a barn coat or a car coat style (length) with Hidden button pocket flaps, Waist Pockets with flaps, Hidden button placket, Suede collar and inner placket. Darkest blue wash with a thread that isn't as contrasting. I'm no photoshop whiz, but I took a stab at mocking up a version to give you an idea what I was trying to get.

This looks great!

It's been 2 weeks since I placed my order, haven't gotten a shipping notice yet. I'm getting anxious, hope it's on its way soon! Even if it takes another week, that's still faster than any other MTM service I've ever used, so I'm not complaining, and I'm definitely looking forward to placing my next order soon after the first one arrives.

I was browsing through the website a few days ago, and I started making a list of all the swatches I wanted to order. I actually counted my totals and was up to 43 shirt fabrics and 16 trouser fabrics!

Don't worry too much! My first shirt took around a week and the second around 2 and a half weeks, it will be worth the wait if the fit is good!

My stuff is shipping soon and I just emailed asking for 22 swatches. Mostly casual and linen. I live in AZ and have no linen. I think that's a crime.

This is the White / Grey Stripes Linen [$90], just waiting for the sun to come out so I can wear it.

1000

I wear my shirts the same way you do (#fuckyeahtomford) and I find Luxire's standard fusing works fine. The proportions of the collar are equally important to achieving this. I go for a semi-spread collar with 2" back height and 3.5" point length.

Is this shirt an example of the 2" back height with 3.5" points? That sounds fairly large. I'd be curious what your collar size/sleeve length is. Did you specify the back height and then let Luxire adjust the other dimensions, or did you request that the points be a certain length?

Denim jacket looks great! How much did it cost? Might be interested in one.

It sadly takes time. There are players who deal with only certain types of shells. Then, there a lot of quality issues, reliability issues. Will say atleast a month.

I may have thin trochus for a shirt or 2 in samples, will check and confirm tomorrow.

Also, there are some really good shell options for thin buttons, which cannot be made thick. Their availability is limited and price really high.

I have been quoted $3-$5 per button for some, which would be $45 and upwards in only button costs. Am not sure if they would still find favor. If so, I can stock some for the discerning few.

For the ones shown above, they are $20

For thin premium, will see what I can get my hands on.

Not exactly local, but German button factory Augsburger Knopffabrik has nice MoP (echt Perlmutt) buttons, but they don't have any in shirt sizes, I think. These are grey ones from last year (24" - 0,20 EUR a piece).

They also have big white-natural ones (also 24" - 0,45 EUR a piece):

Other than that, they have great horn buttons and also corozo. Some examples I've ordered in the past:

Dark brown/black horn:

And peacoat horn :):

Lovely buttons NOBD!
Have you ever asked them if they would be willing to produce Perlmutknöpfe for shirts?

Yes, this was completely unlined. Will share internal images after the break.

Luxire, can you make a low cut dinner waistcoat (tux) like this one from Charles Tyrwhitt?

If yes, what would be the price point?

Glad to make. Let us discuss the price on email: [email protected]

I'm certainly most interested. I'm sure there's a lot of people who are too, including those of us from the Streetwear section of this forum, who may not know about this thread.

I'd love to see a classic peacoat done with a softer construction especially around the shoulder. A lot of peacoats out there look very very boxy because of a built up shoulder.

Can be made as desired.
We now have some stuff that would be appealing to members on street-wear side. Any pointers on the threads where we can educate people about them?

enough in 18L and 14L for 2 shirts.

None in 16L.

18L would be just fine; Salvatore Piccolo size :). If possible I'd like to try those on my next shirt, which I will try to order later today.

No, I haven't. You're German, right? :) (They do speak English, though.)

It is, and I guess it is by today's trendy standards. I don't f**k around with wimpy little flaps, son. :slayer:

15.5" / 35". I specified the back height, point length, and spread type. This is after literally years of experimenting with different collar configurations to find one that will stand up well open, particularly under a suit coat.
