Luxire Custom Clothing - Official Affiliate Thread - Page 403

I just don't see the reason to make people feel bad for looking forward to something they paid for. People take pleasure in little things, and that's okay.

Anyways, whatever.

The "Customize and Buy" fields are not showing for me for this: http://custom.luxire.com/collections/stripes/products/pale-blue-dress-stripes

Is it out of stock?

I placed an order for 3 shirts on Nov 1 and it has shipped last night. Looks like it'll be here on the 13th. Definitely faster than I expected.

Nevertheless, no big deal and my fault for not ordering a swatch before.

BTW, the shirring looks much better when ironed thoroughly, even though I will specify "slightly shirred" the next time.

The shirring looks nice but I agree with you, a slightly shirred would look awesome.

After browsing through the affiliate thread, I noticed that while the quality of Luxire's craftsmanship is much appreciated, the shipping time is however their weakness. It's been a month since the day I placed my order (I placed another one later because I was overwhelmed with the idea that I can fully customise pretty much everything) and so far none arrived. A bit worried, but let's hope I can post my review in a few days at last

That's a fairly typical wait time for online custom clothing.  I wouldn't be worried and wouldn't classify it as a weakness for Luxire by any means.

More than likely, they will ship them together. Waiting only a month for basically a bespoke shirt/trouser is impressive. My tailor is so backed up it takes 2-3 weeks to get a pair of pants hemmed. Another week or two and Luxire makes me a pair of fully custom trousers and never charges extra for requested upgrades. You will be happy when they arrive and realize the wait is well worth it.

I'm about to order my 2nd shirt from Luxire, and I hope someone can help me out a bit with measurements.

Except from obvious differences like sleeve length, collar etc, I am a little unsure about the measurments concerning the fullness of the shirt in the back/front. My first shirt is too tight in the front, but has a little too much excess fabric in the back. What measurements should I alter then, or should I specify something custom?

Thanks! And in the back part? Are other poeple would be able to see the underwear? :butbut:

Increase the width measurement a little bit and get darts to taper the back.

Will choosing darts automatically mean that the lower back will be made narrower than without darts?

This because I am also worrying about back width: I am yet to order my first shirt but I am mostly taking my measurements from a shirt which fits very well on the front but has too much fabric in the lower back.

There is no standard way to indicate back width on the site.

Yes. Darts will taper cloth from the middle to lower back by default. You can always specify custom darts too. Alternatively you can get the shirt without darts and have them tailored yourself. I just sent them a picture of my fit and they did a great job putting in darts.

Edit: Front and back width are the same.

No, not with the lining

I've got a fit question as well. I've sent in a shirt of mine to be replicated but the shirt is a little too tight in the armholes and is tight across the back whenever I lean forward or cross my arms. I've asked Luxire to increase the armholes by 3/4 inch and the chest by 1 inch. Does this seem reasonable?

I'm about to place an order for some wool trousers with these fabric: http://luxire.com/collections/pants-sorted-by-price/products/dugdale-light-grey-plain-8958

I guess that one is not transparent. :D

I took the measurements from this pants (pic) so I hope I got the measurements right. I just added 0.5" in the hip area to get a bit more space in the seat.
