And the only other issue is that it's a little tight across the top of my back. The yoke measurement is fine, and it's good across the top of the shoulder too, but right at the line where the fabric from the shoulder section of the shirt and the back of the shirt are stitched together (sorry I don't know the technical name for this section), it's tighter than I would have expected. If I reach my arms forward, I can feel it pulling across the top of my back. I don't think I specified a measurement for this part...I assumed if I gave them the yoke measurement than this one would be scaled accordingly, but it's noticeably smaller than any other shirt I own. The yoke is around 18.5" but this line is only 17.25" measured across from shoulder to shoulder. I'll have to make sure I give them a specific measurement for this section next time so it doesn't turn out too small.

Other than that, all the other measurements are perfect and the shirt fits great. I really like the Sky Blue Summer Chambray fabric, it's perfect for warmer weather. I didn't get a chance to take some pics last night but I'll try tonight.

Glad it worked out for you! Look forward to some pics.

Luxire: you said about two weeks ago, you had about 30 new oxfords coming in, do you have a date for them to be up on the website?

^ A couple of pages back, Luxire said there were some shipping issues w/ the oxfords, and that they should be available mid-August.

Those are one of my favorite pant fits ever.

Been getting home from work too late, can't get any good light to take decent pics, but I'll get some up by this weekend.

But I did place my next order - chocolate brown linen pants and the blue pinpoint oxford shirt. I made some small tweaks from my first shirt, and for the pants I'm sending in a pair of cheapo trousers I got from H&M that just happened to fit perfectly.

I'm gonna ask a question that's been answered before so don't kill me.

What is the turnaround time for receiving back a garmet that I send in to be copied?  Sending from the US, if that matters.

They send it back with the finished product, unless you request them to send it back after they measure it

yup.  I have the exact same plan in both the dugdale light grey and the minnis flannel light grey.  right now, i'm nailing the measurements down getting ready for those two.

Yeah, the trick is nailing the fit... Sounds obvious, but it's not easy to get trousers to fit that way.

I'm actually starting to come to the opinion that trousers are harder to get to fit right than a jacket.

Your pleated Ambrosi pants weren't grandpa-style enough for you? happy.gif
post #4035 of 11440

Yeah how dare you wear a perfect fitting pair of pants.

Good luck on your endeavor, Timo. I don't even want to think what it cost Vox to get those made up by a tailor.
