Goods

- Fit is nice, shoulders fit nice, chest fit a little big, but since I'm planning to grow it a bit it's nice. Waist is nice and sleeve length is perfect.

- Fabric: I have bespoke shirt from a local store that cost me $3,000 pesos and the first time I wore it, it felt kinda itchy. I thought that for a $60 shirt I couldn't expect more, but the fabric is real nice.

- Construction: I can compare it with that bespoke shirt metioned above and this is contructed way better.

Bads

- The cuffs. I asked for miterred cuffs, but I think I didn't asked for the length of them so they are quite short, but I can live with that. Next order will need to take that into account.

What's next:

- Ask for Finamore collar type (unlined)

- Maybe more tie space

- Shirred shoulder

- Fit pics, maybe tomorrow but it won't be ironed until wednesday for use until saturday. smile.gif

Pics:

Overall, real happy with the shirt.

Sheeet... if you Luxire start making SC's... I will be in serious problems! lol8[1].gif

I like how that button stands up. It doesn't fall down or anything. That's how buttons should be.

Wow, that looks excellent, Ashish. The shoulders, sleeve head, lapels, swelled chest all look really, really good. Uh oh, ditto to Betelgeuse's being in trouble...

I got the shipping notification this morning when I woke up and was thrilled to see it was due Thursday. Of course the first thing that happened was a delivery exception that bumped it to Friday. baldy[1].gif

I'll post some pictures and a write up when it arrives.

We still need to work on the pricing. Tentatively, a jacket like this, structured, in linen, would be $500.

Unstructured cotton ones will start at $300

That should warrant a rethink :)

Yes, shaped up well. Done by hand, silk thread, horn buttons.

Thank you m. The last few jackets made have been satisfactory and getting better. Co-incidentally, your's is next :)

If it's not then someone ordered the exact same jacket as I did, which would be proof of their good taste I suppose! biggrin.gif

Price is not bad at all! icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

Planning next shirt order... already done a few collar specs for next shirt order. NOBD gave me the idea. biggrin.gif Can you give them a quick look and tell me if with those measurements is sufficient or I'll need to add some other to get the collar right?

Shirt Collars. (Click to show)

I have two shirts from Luxire. For my second shirt, I asked Luxire to replicate the measurements from my first shirt, as I'm reasonably happy with the fit. However, when I got the second shirt, I noticed that it was noticeably tighter in the chest and had higher cut armholes, which I think is weird. The shirt is wearable, but not as comfortable as the first shirt. Has anyone else experienced the same, and is this just to be expected with different fabrics?
