+1

I got an email for a review before I got my shirt. Had me worried at that point.

Got a quick response that my shirt was almost ready to be shipped when I asked about it though.

I ordered the blue gingham fabric, using measurements from another MTM shirt I had made. I had a lot of specific requests, all of which were carried out perfectly. The shirt is now my favorite shirt, better in every way than my other MTM which was exactly triple the price. The buttons are fantastic MOP, especially for a shirt at this price point. I'm looking forward to ordering more shirts soon.

I know it has been suggested/discussed before, but I'd like to add a word of advice to Luxire. It would be very helpful to have a profile that could just be saved, which would have its own measurements and notes. For example I might have a slim fit french cuff profile and a casual slightly looser profile for linen etc. Just a thought, and I believe you've said you are working on something like this.

I agree with all of this.

They do save your information so when you order again you can reference previous orders. I have a customized button-down collar and a customized spread collar "on file" so I can order casual shirts and dress shirts pretty easily. But hopefully this will eventually be implemented on the website.

Agree with above comments, the website isn't very sophisticated by the customer support is generally fantastic.

I think that Theresa, who regularly answers my own emails, has been away on leave for 4 days returning tomorrow. This is probably why queries aren't being answered right now.

For anyone in any doubt, I would say that all the shirts I have received have been perfectly in line with my instructions and making changes on future (and current) orders has been easy. Theresa has been fantastic. I love all my shirts and look forward to filling my wardrobe with their product

I think that they have experienced a great increase in the number of orders they receive recently, and there have also been a litany of public holidays in Bangalore (check out India's public holiday calendar if you dare - it's insanely complicated).

I hope that they will bring production time back to the 5 day guarantee (which should probably be removed from their website if it's not being met at the moment - and it certainly isn't) in future. I also hope that their fine quality standards won't be influenced by a greater volume of orders.

As well as all the above, people should learn to be more patient too.

If anyone has ordered a linen shirt; can you please post a wear pic :)

Have always wanted a linen shirt but too expensive for my tastes RTW (what would I ask If I wanted this collar ;looks badass :P)

P.S.

Get more fabric types for linen e.g. pink or baby blue etc.

If the website states that there is a 5 day turnaround for orders, then being patient means that you wait for an extra couple of days before getting bothered.

I'm currently coming up on day 22 (or 15 business days) for the shirts that I ordered back in October. I'm bothered.

Managing expectations is pretty critical in business, so my recommendation to Luxire at the moment would be to double or triple their posted delivery times for their shirts - that way people are pleasantly surprised when the shirts arrive early, rather then annoyed that they have to send emails every week to find out why their order is late.

Thank you Lachyzee for summing up our current state of delivery schedule.

My apologies for the delayed deliveries and delayed replies to queries. September to November, there are a lot of holidays in India. As this was our first year making Luxire custom shirts, we were unable to plan for these and the backlog kept increasing.

We thus completely stopped all our ad campaigns and reduced our participation in the forums to replying to queries so that the focus can remain on the backlog. We also delayed our pants launch. In about a week's time, we will be completing all orders till date and should be back to about 7-10 days delivery schedule, will would then gradually reduce to 5 again.

One temptation during such days is to alter a few processes to make things faster. But, we have made a policy decision to only keep improving quality and not compromise on that. Hence, each shirt is made to the exact Luxire standards, braving the delays as they happen.

Will try and have the linens live by tomorrow. Am expecting some more options over the next few days.

Email replies: We are a small team and still needing to add a few process improvements to make the communication better, while retaining the personal touch that we think is important in connecting with our customers. We will work on improving the same.

Theresa has been on leave and is now back. All mails should be replied within the next few hours and then things will be back to normal after that.

I think underpromise and over deliver should always be a key message. But mostly communication is essential.

Most of us would rather have our shirt be perfect rather than rushed, but not knowing the reason for a delay doesn't inspire confidence.

From my perspective, this is a good, clear "take ownership" response; I like it. I'm not even a customer yet (soon, soon!) but solid, straight forward info like this has me rooting for your success.

Yes, thanks very much for the response. I'm quite understanding of the situation, I just wonder to offer some constructive criticism.

Quik note,
I wanted to add my impressions about Luxire. I'm a big guy (linebacker), and just took delivery of a test purchase. I got an oxford 'warzone' tailored to my measurements, and the quality and fit is impressive. I'll be placing a large order in time for the holidays. I highly recommend Luxire; I'm amazed at the bang-per-buck quality of this shirt!
