Does anyone know how I can correct for this issue: when bending my arm, the sleeve gets very tight over the elbow. Should I increase sleeve length or increase sleeve diameter from elbow to wrist, or something other? @Jezec Here is a (slightly) better image of the single vs double sleeve pleats. The gray stripe is Luxire double pleat, the pink graph differs in that there is one single pleat on each side of wrist.
Thanks!
Reducing the number of pleats would probably affect the roominess of the forearm area. You could go back to the default or do what I do - ask them to cut the sleeve with at least X inches diameter at the elbow, which you have measured X inches up from the cuff. A bit more sleeve length wouldn't hurt either.

I just said Target as a typical example of bad clothing, but you get the point. I've actually never visited a Target—I'm English.

Nigel, I think the cultural reference you're actually looking for is Wal-Mart. Or maybe Hollister.

For young people on limited budgets Target is actually a good place to pick up basics.

Carry on.

Thanks man. I just received my first single pleated cuff shirt and I like it better than Luxire's standard pleated shirts.

I think from now on, my shirts will have no second button (forearm area) and have single pleats going forward. It's easier to iron as well.

Hi guys,
I took a pair of my Luxire pants to the tailor, he will be taking the seat out some. In the mean time, what measurement(s) is/are responsible for the top block?

11" front rise, 18" back seemed right for me, but I am not sure. Probably the hips and half-hip? I had pants made with 20" and 22.50", respectively.
Pockets were made 'on seam', there is NO pocket flare.

The center seam somewhat digs into my bum-crack..:embar:

FYI, that is the gauntlet button.

Total trouser length also is a factor. Think of it this way - if you subtract the total length from the inseam length you get the "effective" rise which is not the same as the measurement from the crotch seam to the waistband. The combination of all of the measurements (including hip width) gives a 3D profile of the top block.

Also, how long ago were your pants made? Luxire had a pattern issue that creates the effect you have described but it is resolved. On your next trouser order you might be able to use the same measurements but specify that you want a new pattern created.

My last pair (which I need to go home and try on still) was December 2013

Does anyone know if Luxire has any black trouser fabrics, 85% wool, 15% mohair. I have a jacket for which I want trousers made up as close as possible. It feels like a bad idea...

and it sounds like one. unless it's the same fabric, it will look different. even black. maybe especially black.

Yep, I agree and know this, but as is often the case when you're in this kind of situation, part of you just wishes for a different answer...

I won't be ordering any "matching" trousers because they simply won't match.

Does anyone have a contact telephone number for Luxire?

I placed an order 3 days ago and immediately realized that I had made an error in selection of options for finish (chose daks adjustors rather than standard belt loops). I've been attempting to contact Luxire since to no avail. Further, I had requested some customization with a cinch back / back buckle for my chinos. I also have a strict deadline in that they need to be received no later than Oct. 25th and I need assurance that this will be feasible. I realize it's only been a couple of days but I'm growing a bit frustrated at the lack of communication or availability of a contact telephone number. I will have to cancel the order if they cannot guarantee delivery by a specific date, and I don't want to run into problems. I also want them to acknowledge the oversight with re. to the belt loops. How the heck do you get in touch with Luxire and are the typically this slow to respond to emails?

^^ You will have better luck with a response if you email them during their operation hours. I always get responses quickly because I send emails at 10pm US CT which is like 8:30am for luxire. I doubt you will get a delivery date guarantee by them because things get caught up in customs sometimes and frankly I wouldn't make that guarantee either.
