Maybe it would be a good idea to just have a kind of ready to wear pattern for pants if you just give a waist size and leg opening measurement and save alterations for a nearby tailor. What do you think @luxire? Would you ever do something like that?

Just received the light tan twill chinos. Superb fabric and great craftsmanship. Recommended!

It is already possible for their shirts

Above is a recap of my first order.

Clearly better than my first attempt... But those collar points still look like they extend over my back too far to me. Is that what the Eidos collar is supposed to look like and I just didn't realize how extreme the spread was? Or is Luxire just baffled by my measurements? I don't want to pitch a fit and remake the shirts if it ends up I just don't know what I'm talking about.

Please could I request some assistance?

I've ordered a shirt jacket; here is Luxire's stock image:

They have given me the following measurements for the 'stock' collar:

one piece collar
Collar point: 2 5/8"
Collar center height: 3 3/4"
Lapel: 3"
Notch: 1 3/4"

I'm trying to reconcile the measurements and descriptions to the various parts of the collar. Is anyone more knowledgable than me able to assist? If it helps I'm trying to bring the measurements down so the collar's proportions are more contemporary and less 1970s looking.

Full disclosure, I have no idea. No experience with what it SHOULD look like, but it looks off to me. Admittedly, much better than run 1, but still off. Just did a brief "eidos polo" google search, and this seems like the collar is not nearly as swept back

To me, it looks like the ideal is the collar points extending to (and ending at) the seam where the front and back panel come together. I similarly don't know if this is enough to throw a fit over, but it doesn't look quite right to me.

Received my Luxire order (second order) and I am really pleased with the results! I will try to post pics tomorrow if I can find the time to snap some!

So far, after a quick inspection, I can honestly say that the Light Blue University Stripes oxford and the Blue University Stripes oxford are almost, almost the same cloth. Do not rely on Luxire picture - right next to each other, they are quite identical. I thought Luxire might have sent me the same shirt x 2. I had to compare them for a whole minute to differenciate a small hue of blue between them. Still, not a bad thin per se - can a men really have too much blue stripes oxford shirts?

The black watch twill is a dense fabric! I didn't think it would be so heavy - the shirt nearly stands on it's own. Definitively not a summer shirt (although from my understanding, black watch is typically a F/W pattern). I will definitively sweat to death in this thing!

I finally nailed my Luxire BD collar. Will post pics tomorrow but this is the collar I will base all my future orders on.

I'm not sure if this is feasible (it's definitely shady), but why not buy an Edios shirt and take pictures/measure it for Luxire then send it back.  :hide:

Hi,
I'm new To luxire and I was wondering how to order a suit through the website. It's a bit vague on the website as there appears to be options for pants and coats, but not the two together.

I'm in Australia so maybe there are some differences on the website, not sure.

Thanks

As promised, here are a couple of (bad iPad) snapshots to illustrate my previous comments.

The difference between the Light Blue University Stripes oxford and Blue University Stripes oxford. The difference can be harder or easier to detect depending on the lighting - I try to take pictures showing that phenomenon:

Here's a shot of the BD collar on the Light Blue University Stripes oxford, both without and with tie :

Next, some snapshots of the Black Watch twill (the collar doesn't actually sits above my chin - I guess I had my chin tucked down to look at the iPad screen somehow) :

PS.: sorry about the bad lighting in some of these shots! Also, shirts are unwashed and not ironed.

Thank you! I am truly impressed by @luxire's ability to interpret such minute details, including measurements down to ⅛".  Now I just need to nail down a proper formal shirt collar (read: not a BD) and my trouser pattern (my first iteration wasn't up to expectations).

@luxire

Is there a default white shirting fabric when ordering a French-styled (?) shirt or could I choose a specific fabric? For example, if I wanted to order business blue pin-point shirt with a white collar and white cuffs. Thanks
