Luxire Custom Clothing - Official Affiliate Thread - Page 1526

Dear Luxire thread,
Recently recieved a Luxire pant in hopsack linen. Have had two pairs made before these. What do you think about Luxires buttoning? I think a standard 3 point buttoning which is seen on almost all other pants I have would be superior to Luxires buttoning. It would pull the fabric in a better way for more crisp and better looking fly.
I also noticed that the top left panel, the fabric that covers my left hip tenda to pull apart to the left so that the buttons on the fly shows.

Have anyone requested another kind of buttoning on your pants? Have you had better results with how the fabric at the fly is pulled etc?

Yours

All else equal (sleeve and cuff width) would increasing the gauntlet or sleeve placket length make rolling up your sleeve easier? With 36' sleeves I think I need to increase the gauntlet length so my sleeves roll easier and don't catch on my elbow. This is more for casual shirts but I might consider it for all shirts depending on the results.

Is the current website layout hindering you from searching fabrics or making purchases?

By the way @patliean1 I saw you had some off-white twill chinos, any thoughts on that fabric (creasing, weight, etc.) or indeed any of the other twill chinos? I am thinking about getting a pair of cream, off-white, tan or similar. Thanks!

Indeed sir. The weight is appropiate for late spring through mid fall and creasing is moderate for what you'd expect from cotton. When I originally purchased them I incorrectly was assuming off-white meant cream LoL. They are definitely white in real life.

Yes. I was informed that fabrics I inquired about would be posted along with the new website launch. I've been purchasing from them for years and look forward to having basic functions (eg bookmarking fabrics) work as advertised.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. When I google it I get a lot about the gauntlet button but not a lot about the gauntlet length.

Any recommendation for cotton trousers (other than the Brisbane Moss fabrics)?

If you only roll your sleeves up to the end of the sleeve gauntlet, then lengthening the gauntlet will help. But if you are rolling above the gauntlet (above your elbow, for example) then the sleeve width makes more of a difference than the gauntlet length.

Hi, first time post. I have just sent Luxire an email but I'm hoping the wider community might also be able to help. Ive just received a Luxire pique shirt which out of the box was a reasonable fit. Prior to wearing it I wanted to give it a wash wash, as there were no washing instructions I decided to machine wash it at 30 degrees on a 15 minute cycle. The shirt was then put on a hanger and allowed to air dry. I kept looking at it and could help but think it was looking huge. Once dry I put it on only to find it has grown. For example the sleeve length, from centre of the yoke to the end of the sleeve, has gone from 34.5 inches to 38 inches! Does anyone have and ideas what has happened, why it's happened and how it can be fixed? The yoke, from 18.5 to 19.5, the length from 30 to 33 and so on. Luxire, if you are reading this it would great to hear from you. Many thanks

Out of all the collars - what are people's favourite for wearing without tie with like a sports jacket/blazer?

Something that would frame a long-necked face.  Not a button-down, looking for something that would work as 'cocktail attire'.
