Holy smokes, I'm doing that on my next order thanks. SF never ceases to inspire me.

For jeans, did yall send a copy or measurements? Pants, shirts, I'm all about getting something copied. Jeans maybe have a little more leeway?

What's the appeal of taped seams?

I'm not a fan, since they add bulk that can be a nuisance, particularly when ironing -- which of course probably isn't a concern with jeans.  I can understand when it's done with reflective material for bicycling or skating.

Very nice jeans though, Thrifter.

I measured some jeans I already had (Iron Heart 635s and Levis STF) and sort of took the average of the measurements. Luxire came back to me with a concern that one measurement would not work while using the selvedge but they were able to make a minor adjustment to make it work. They came out perfectly although the inseam strangely felt about 2" too long even though the measurements all checked out. I just adjusted on my second jeans order.

Thanks. That makes me think I could just send a chart (this is left field's charles atlas) and not worry about the pattern.

Also, any chance of a full length or worn picture, instead of just the details? Your makeup is exactly what I was considering

So I received my first Luxire sport coat yesterday:

Details

Overall, I'm very pleased with the result. This is a completely unlined, unstructured shoulder jacket in brown linen/cotton canvas. I wanted a casual jacket in this style and the only stuff available OTR in my size was way too short with far too high of a buttoning point. So this one is 30.5 inches long with what I would safely call a "low" buttoning point. The lapels are 3.5 inches wide. Buttons are brown horn.

I do have a couple nitpicks; first, the breast pocket is on the low side. I didn't specify anything for its placement, so Luxire guessed at where it should go and I would say their guess is at the lowest end of the acceptable range. For future orders, I plan to have them raise it 1.25 inches. Second, the lapels don't actually roll to the buttoning point; it looks like they were made to roll to a point about 3 inches above it. I had to press them flat to get them to cooperate. It's almost like they designed the body for a 3-button jacket and then just didn't put the top button or buttonhole on. So that's a design aspect I'm going to take up with Luxire and make sure they fix going forward. Luckily, this fabric is pretty forgiving and pressing was able to get me the result I wanted, or at least, close enough.

Finally, and this is my mistake, the armholes are a little large/low. It looks like I should have used a longer "in sleeve length" to get the armholes higher, since they don't ask for an actual armhole measurement. This may have had something to do with the breast pocket location as well, but either way, this should be easy to adjust (for future orders).

I'll try to take some in the next day or two. I have newborn twins at home so free time is fleeting.

It actually looks pretty good for a first go around. I think with a few wears (or a machine wash) the fabric will relax and will look very good.

Thanks! Yeah, they nailed the measurements. I was ready for this to be an experiment and possibly-wearable, but I was really pleasantly surprised by how great it turned out both in terms of fit and in terms of having all the features/measurements I asked for. I specified things like the button stance, distance between the buttons, size & location of the patch pockets, depth of the rear vents, etc, and everything is exactly as requested.

The canvas fabric feels like it should only get better with break-in. A machine wash would certainly soften it, but I'm hesitant to do so on the chance that shrinkage would occur. I'm sure anyone getting pants in this fabric is machine washing them, but I'm hesitant to do that with a jacket.

For anyone who has recently received an order, what was your lead time between order and shipment? I'm trying to decide how long to wait before contacting Luxire for an update on my trouser order.

8 weeks so far here, ive had several emails in the last two weeks confirming my order is being worked on and it will be shipped in 1-2 days. i guess they are really busy at the moment

Im still waiting on my linen sale order and after inquiring again I was told the linen cotton canvas I selected is not available and I needed to pick a new fabric.  I gave them my next selection list but haven't heard back.  Seems like they are really busy.  In the past I would have gotten an email from them telling me the fabric wasn't available.

Ordered 3 March / received 5 May.

I did send one inquiry which was politely answered and the reason given was that one of the fabrics I'd ordered was being shipped to Luxire from another country.

As usual, the result was certainly well worth the wait.

@StanleyVanBuren the roll issue you mentioned is pretty scary, but end result (post-press) looks pretty damn excellent.
