Yes i did contact luxire. These are my third pants. they advised me to increase rise by a total of 2.5'' so I did..
Also. If I decrease the thigh width, I feel like my legs would no longer fit in them

Ah interesting cause the rise looks very long

I agree. Luxire advised an increase in rise because I could barely spread my legs in the previous pants.

That also has to do with hip and thigh measurement. Again, I do suggest increasing hip.

Hello there! I would like to order shirt and pants from Luxire and I would like to improve fit of my clothes because as many of you here I’m not satisfied :). May ask you for your time to take a look and give me some opinion what to improve.

My body is not perfect and I had shoulder surgery few months ago and my right shoulder is much higher then the other and longer also which causes significal asymmetry.

My planned changes and what bothers me:

Shirt:

  • need to adjust for sloping shoulders
  • adjust left shoulder more then the right one
  • elongate right shoulder
  • smaller armholes
  • sleeves are little bit baggy but they are tight in the elbow area - how to solve this? I would like to have less baggy sleeves but with more elbow room.
  • what about the lower back excess fabric? I have darts on this shirt but there is still some excess fabric and it looks baggy after few moments because it will become untucked. Is it possible to remove this fabric without sacrificing movability?

Pants:

  • which measurement need to be changed to avoid pocket flare as in photos?
  • how to solve horizontal lines below the seat?

As you can see above I have some planned changes but I have no idea how much should I add or remove to which measurement. For example I don’t know how much should I adjust the sloping shoulders or how much should I remove from waist on shirt, etc...

If you have some tip or advice about what to change on shirt and pants I would be really grateful to hear it :). I asked in tailors thread but I'm asking here to have more opinions.

@Luxire

I will attempt to ask this one more time...Can you request your order be shipped without a signature required at delivery?

If you live near a FedEx Office branch, when the package ships you can simply instruct FedEx to hold the package for you to pick up. I do this for all of my orders.

Has anyone tried out the Dugdale Mocklino hopsack fabric? Sounds like it might be a good choice for a summer sportcoat but I am wondering if the high mohair content makes it shiny. Other suggestions are welcome. Thanks in advance for your help!

Great start! .. increasing hip measurement of pants decreasing pocket flares. Otherwise, I think they're a fantastic fit. Sorry - can't speak much to the shirt. I like it, but I don't know how to properly address your issues. They are good questions.

Can we get into the habit of spoilering all fit pics? Particularly for trousers?

Thank you very much!

Which hip measurement needs to be changed? Half hips or Hip Front Only or both? Do you have some idea how to get rid of horizontal lines in crotch area and below the seat?

Yes the shirt is little bit more tricky and it will take few iterations to fix it. But otherwise what do you think about fit of the shirt (when you ignore my list of changes - just your thoughts)?

Also @luxire support is experiencing some issues with response time right now?

I have just looked at the Dugdale mohair book. I am also thinking about doing a sportcoat in this fabric. It is not shiny, and resembles other open weave fabrics. It is very springy and has a crisp hand (not smooth). Should be fine unlined.

Thank you! I appreciate it.

I normally do that but that won't help in my situation. With varying turnaround time for orders and traveling for work/vacation over the summer it's impossible to know if I will be able to pick it up before it is returned to the sender. If there isn't a solution, I guess I can't place orders with luxire during summer months.
