@luxire I've been waiting two weeks now for some further explanation as to some alterations you guys have suggested to my test chinos, including a photo to show what you mean by "scoop the back from the crotch". I have sent three or four follow up emails.

Can you please get back to me as I really need to finalise my linen trousers bought in the last sale. I also want to order another couple of pairs of trousers.

Thanks

@luxire how long will the cotton linen sale last? I want to take advantage of it, but really wanted to get my last order to make sure a few tweaks workout.

Thanks!

Place the order without measurements. Email luxire with order number and say put it on hold. Then email measurements when ready.

Thanks Wigglr 👍🏻 Didn't know that was an option.

I am planning to order test pants.

Would side adjusters on chinos be enough to keep the heavier fabric in place?

Also, I am measuring some of my chinos and wool trousers. I realise that I wear my chinos are about the same measurements with my wool the trousers, but my wool pants feel less comfortable on the same sizing (the restriction and some thigh pulling is present only when sitting). So I measured my Suitsupply pants and I was thinking of having the thighs 0.25 inch wider, but that will make them the same size with my chinos, which currently feel slighlty baggy. The test pants come in a chino/twill fabric, so they may actually end up not that useable. I am quite confused about this.

YES. I have a pair of heavy tweed trousers with side adjusters and they work just fine.

The effectiveness of side adjusters depends in part on the physique of the person wearing them.  If you have enough of a waist for a belt to do the job it's likely they'll work (assuming the trousers fit well).

Cheers,

Thank you for the input. I will likely give them a try once I figure out what measurements to use.

Hi Luxire! Are these fabrics stocked in house or will you order them?

I am having a hard time getting the right measurements of both shirt and pants. Which adjustments would you recommend? I have marked the highest priority problem areas:

Pictures were taken after a day of commune, work, walking etc. So keep that in mind..

Shirt:
UNIT: Inch

Light Blue Summer Gingham
Neck: 15.25
Sleeve: 38.00
Fit: Slim
Collar: Custom
Cuff: 2-Button
Back: No Pleats
Pocket: No
Placket: No

Chest: 24.50
Waist: 19.50
Bottom: 22.50
Yoke: 20.50
Biceps: 9.50
Armhole: 11.75
CuffSize: 9.25
Length: 32.50

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

- Excess fabric at lower back and sides when tucked in (decrease shirt length, width or both?). It creases very easily and this is my biggest concern.
- Creasing at lower front (just above the belt)

- Creasing at back in general (sides of upper back)
- Sleeves crease very easiliy (I will shorten the sleeves, they are too long. Evidently, you cant see this at the provided pictures.

Pants:
Navy Twill Chino

UNIT: Inch - Waist Size: 18.00
Half Hip Measurement: 22.00
Pant Length: 43.25
Inseam Measurement: 32.25
Front Rise: 11.75
Back Rise: 18.50
Thigh Measurement (2 inch Below Crotch): 13.50
Knee Measurement: 9.25
Bottom Measure: 7.25

- Too baggy at rear bottom
- Creasing at upper legs (a bit too tight?)
- Bit uncomfortable while sitting/walking with big steps. The crotch seems to 'pull'. Also limited when splitting my legs.
How do I improve the rear while I increase comfort at crotch/rise?

Hope I have provided clear pictures and a solid background story. Advice/tips are more than welcome!

Initial thoughts: Have you e-mailed Luxire with these images and concerns? (mail@luxire.com) They would likely suggest a sloped shoulder adjustment. The wrinkles around the shoulder area are very prominent.

Second thoughts:

Shirt: Maybe decrease waist measurement of shirt? Maybe increase hip measurement of shirt? I would definitely decrease waist if you feel like there's too much fabric at waist!

Pants: Back and front rise measurements seem excessively big. Especially for chinos. I have a similar waist measurement (18.25) and I do approximately 10.25 front and 17.25 back (I've done different iterations but all +/- 0.25-0.5" of those measurements). That may help your thigh area as it will bring up the thigh measurement toward a thicker part of your body.

Also increase hip measurement of pants at the same time to reduce pocket bulge. Maybe decrease thigh measurement to 13.25?
