Only issue with those is that they can shrink. I lost 1.5" in length and maybe an inch across the waist. They were great before that.

I had the exact same experience with that fabric.  I lost about an inch in length, which has me now needing to order a replacement pair and contemplating getting them an inch longer than my normal order.

Same. It's a nice enough fabric to consider re-ordering. Frustrating having perfectly fitting custom pants shrink enough to look sloppy, but that's not Luxire's fault.

I've tried instructing them to pre-shrink fabrics in the past and I've never been clear whether it works or not.

Now that Allen Edmonds doesn't have MTO any longer, looking for an alternative.

Would Luxire shoes be comparable in quality to Allen Edmonds?

@luxire and friends, I'm thinking about commissioning a purse for my wife as a gift. Can anybody provide insight on their experience with ordering bags, or comment on specific options I should consider? Having never used a purse myself (!), I'm afraid that I'll miss a useful addition or leave out something that should be standard.

Polos look fantastic, @luxire

Recent arrival here: Pale Blue Printed Leaves On White Linen.

Anyone with cotton linen canvas trousers, have you had them half-lined?  Asking more for structural purposes of the fabric rather than transparency as I'll be ordering darker colors.

I ordered the large tote last year for my wife. Luxire offered their assistance throughout the process and were helpful with offering colours, materials, etc. I opted for a chocolate suede lining that they warned would add to the weight. It was something I hadn't considered. I still went with it, but it was nice that they warned me. I measured my wife's stuff that she carries and had pockets made up to match. She carries a notebook, iPhone, wallet, etc. It all fit perfectly. She also has an obscene keyring, so I had a special pocket added for it and I think it has a clip for keys.

One of the problems I encountered was that the large tote is, well, large. It's really too big to be practical. I didn't think to slim it down. On top of that, the handles made it extreme, so it really looks like a purse for a giant rather than anything that would be used on a day to day basis. Beyond that, I went with museum calf leather for the material. It may have improved since last April, but I found it looked a bit cheap up close. I can't say that it necessarily is cheap stuff, and it could be the result of it being a much larger surface than, say, a shoe.

All in all, consider your wife's day to day life. Where would she take it and what would she carry? Is she the type to fill it and throw it in the car? Does she not like to take things around with her? The personal details, like custom pockets or a proper shoulder strap, go a long way.

I'd consider it on the light coloured fabrics to avoid transparency, but you said that's a non-issue since you are ordering dark colours. It's a rigid, thick fabric, so I'd hesitate adding anything unless necessary. Just my opinion, though.

Very helpful, thank you for your tips. I plan on asking her to point out a few different bags and features she likes, and then trying to make a perfect hybrid that incorporates as much of them as possible.

That looks beautiful @CruzAzul! I'm waiting on the very similar pale blue printed shrubs on white http://custom.luxire.com/collections/linen-shirts/products/linen_pale_blue_printed_shrubs_on_white

Extra excited now!

Ughhhhh, I really need an overhaul of my polo wardrobe, but my current order (including a test polo) hasn't been fulfilled yet. I hope my order arrives quickly, so I can double-check my measurements and still have time to hit up this sale.

You can buy now and tell them not to make the shirts until your pending order has been fulfilled and you've had a chance to see if you need any modifications to your pattern. I've done this a couple of times in the past without any problems.
