Hey everyone,

is it common for anyone to get a smaller neck measurement on shirts of a lighter weight? I've noticed that the neck in my non-oxford shirts seems to fit looser than my oxford shirts.

Are the measurements accurate compared to what you specify?

Perhaps the oxford shirts have shrunk more?

I cold wash and hang dry all my shirts, although I suppose that could be it, but I wasn't sure if anyone had had a similar experience.

How do the measurements compare to what you specify?

I noticed exactly the same thing this week. My oxford shirts are tighter around the neck than my poplin despite being made in the same order. It is probably due to the looser weave and thicker yarns on the oxford giving more shrinkage. Definitely going to adjust in future.

Does anyone have the starting price for sportcoats, full canvas? Obviously the price will vary based on fabric but I'm just trying to get an idea.

I have a pair of gray Dugdale worsted trousers that could use a match jacket. Thanks

Oxford cloth will absolutely shrink more, no matter how one washes it. :teach:

Probably around $700 or so for an inexpensive fabric, with the price increasing along with the fabric cost.

I'm not very familiar with shirting fabrics, but would white poplin be a suitable fabric for a shirt that is slightly more formal than my Warzone Plus White Oxford, but still also usable for casual use with jeans? And if so, anyone have a recommendation/preference for one of the white poplins? There seems to be quite a few within the same price range.

Maybe a chambray?

Had my first order with Luxire - a pair of duckdale mocklino hopsack trousers - and well, it doesn't look like a success. The pants look really tight around my hips, probably because it needed at least an inch more in the half-hip measurement. It looks a bit tight in the thighs too. Not sure there's anything I can do at this point.

Did you provide measurements or send in a pair to replicate?

I sent in measurements. Everything else seems to fit OK, I suspect I might've messed up with the half-hip measurements.

Anyone have this blue/white seersucker shirt fabric? http://luxire.com/products/blue-dress-stripes-seersucker
Some of the pictures make it look less like a seersucker and more like an oxford.

Anyone with this white on white one? http://luxire.com/products/sky-way-stripes-seersucker-ysc140226y01sp
Why so expensive, I wonder?

Yeah, double check. Too many variables when doing measurements yourself....I always send stuff in. Give it another shot!
