Presumably a good tailor learns a lot by looking at the shape of your actual garment

Nope. Luxire once partially lined a medium-weight cotton twill pant for me with a lighter weight cotton specifically to provide a buffer between the wearer and the material (and to make one's legs contact the cooler-feeling fabric). And it works.

Yeah pretty much. First of all you're putting more weight on the fabric, secondly since most linings are made from synthetic materials, or even otherwise it's still much less breathable. Plus it's an additional layer.

As far as I can tell, the shape of the Luxire-produced trousers matches that of the pair that I sent in exactly.

I can't speak exactly to what Luxire is doing (perhaps @luxire can comment directly) but it does seem to me that they really did copy the trousers that I sent in.

I checked in on the status of my linen sale order, but Luxire says my order is still awaiting arrival of my sample shirt.  That would be fine, if not for the fact tracking shows it was delivered to the Portland address a month ago.  ** fingers crossed that Luxire finds it**

At least yours has a reason, mines been nearly a month and not on hold by sending them in any shirts.  Hopefully though that means Lux got inundated with linen orders which I assume is a good thing for them :)

I got my linen order in a week, and I'm still waiting on a denim order I placed literally five minutes later. Both off existing measurements. Hard to say how the timing will work out.

Still haven't gotten my linen /Cotton canvas pants from the linen sale

There must have been a large flood of orders right at the end of the sale.  I remember posters who bought at the beginning of the sale talking about 1-2 weeks turn around.  I'm sitting at almost 4 with nothing yet.  No big deal when it is 40 out, but we may be seeing 70 this week finally.

these two shirts have "broken" customize and buy buttons - does that mean they are out the fabric and just haven't said so, or is it something else?

Yes, I believe this means that the fabric is out of stock. The website is not consistent in that some fabrics are explicitly listed as out of stock while others are like this. Hopefully all will be fixed when the new site arrives.

Thanks.  Tad frustrating, but not the end of the world.

You can email with fabric names and Luxire will give you an estimate of if/when they will restock.

I guess most of you wear all shirts tucked in. but what are the styling options for shirts that you wear untucked? the "standard" version of the shirt is too round for me, are there examples of alternatives?
