I'm measuring out a pair of my best-fitting pants to order a pair of test trousers. When I measure out the half-hips, should I include the excess area from the seat of the trousers? Meaning, should I basically be measuring how much fabric in total is in that area, like I would the waistband?
EDIT: I've got a large ass (lots of squats!) and finally got these pants sized so that they fit my waist and my backside well, so if the half-hip measurement doesn't take into account my seat measurement, what does? Sorry if these are really basic questions.
Ive got cyclist arse & thighs, so i measure half hip to include the extra fabric from the rear of the trousers. AND I also provide the front hip measurement, which is just the front fabric. For me this is a slightly different measurement to the half hip.
Hope that makes sense.
